I went back and beat the other two. I didn't really like them overall, I think they're all just too anemic. They give you a ton of resources in each of the three, so there's no real danger unless you're playing like rubbish (and even then, you can just retry and be less rubbish). They're either very linear and straightforward or they're a tiny little area with puzzles around to solve. I'd have preferred one episode completely focused on any of the three characters, preferably Jesse or the Time Breaker guy from Quantum Break

To me it just feels like something for the lore weirdos, the youtuber theorycrafting consumers, which is a part of the game I'm not that interested in really. I'm interested in the things around the lore, and the tone and atmosphere. But the actual story of the games works best when it's supporting everything else the game is doing. These are adding nothing which makes the game any more interesting. They're over too quickly as well so it barely feels like you can hang out in these different environments and take in their detail. Don't play the DLC is my recommendation. Definitely play Alan Wake II, but save your money and skip these

Tried playing the Lake House DLC tonight. It took me about 30 mins to crack the code on the computer. Ran in to 2 enemies I couldn't beat before realising where the exit was. Was hit with text to read after text to read most of which was accompanied by the most annoying, short looping horror music which just plays this really loud headache inducing note every few seconds

I think for some reason my mouse wheel stopped working as well so between controls glitching and the music while trying to read which is easily my most disliked activity in a video game

Terrible. Fuck that shit
