Here’s a 6 minute look at the game. It looks spectacular in terms of graphics. Definitely a PC game for me, I think. I checked and it isn’t using UE5, either, so hopefully the PC version is good

I played about half of the first  game last year and quite liked it but it felt very dated. Even by the standards of a X360 3rd person shooter it was super basic and shallow. This game looks largely the same with some nice new additions here and there, but these graphics and set pieces look amazing and what’s really selling me on it. Just a big, meaty, gritty, gorgeous, heavy action shooter looks good to me

I'm really looking forward to Space Marine... as in really looking forward to it. Sounds like a real meaty package of a game too with all the modes included.

There’s a pre-order here for the PS5 version for £50. Less if use a code.

Not advertising for pre-orders but think it’s cool that it’s another - what I still consider - to be a normally priced game.

It could say a lot about the length or the content of the game, but it’s nice to see maybe there are publishers out there that aren’t completely mental and have better pricing and expectations of what they can sell a game for

The pc requirements are out. Interestingly PC Gamer says they're surprisingly low, and I suppose they are, but if they're accurate a GTX1060 on low gets you 30fps at 1080p. It's an old card but I'm a little surprised that's 30fps.

On the other end, the recommended is an RTX3070 on Ultra. That gets you 60fps at 1080p. Combined that's why I'm a little surprised at PC Gamer's story, not that it's a crazy build required or anything, and presumably High settings will help the resolution, just struck me as odd for their headline

Minimum (1920x1080, 30 fps, low graphics preset)
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 10/11 64-bit
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2600X / Intel Core i5-8600K
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: 6 GB VRAM, AMD Radeon RX 580 / Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060
DirectX: Version 12
Storage: 75 GB available space

Recommended (1920x1080, 60 fps, ultra graphics preset)
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 10/11 64-bit
Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X / Intel Core i7-12700
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: 8 GB VRAM, AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT / Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070
DirectX: Version 12
Storage: 75 GB available space

Do 3070’s support DLSS? Maybe they upscale 1080 to 4K. Otherwise yeah drop ultra to high-medium and play 1440p.

1080p 🤮 I didn’t realise we gaming in the 1970’s over here

It does, but not DLSS 3+, so it's some help. Specs some times are weirdly conservative too
