Is it? Capcom hardly does exclusive stuff anymore, I'd imagine this will end up everywhere.

Looks nice though, really liked the art-direction here, very different.

It's full title is Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess. Can't believe you didn't pick that up @radiofloyd. Really let us down.

@AndyKurosaki Unlikely Xbox exclusive. Just Day One Gamepass.

In the nicest possible way this reminded me of a PS2 game. You don't really get games like this any more. I suspect its not going to do well but at least it's something different

Well, all my interest has gone. Didn’t realise it was a people gathering, strategy, tower defence thing. Fuck that. Still looks gorgeous though.

It’s described as a kagura action strategy game. Kagura being a form of dance.

I trust that’s cleared things up.

Max captured some gameplay footage at SGF:

I doubt this is for me but I kind of want to try it out at the same time. Looking at the visual fidelity I think it's also safe to assume this is basically a 'Capcom indie', so their sales expectations are probably reasonably low. Meanwhile the Gamepass inclusion will likely mean a lot of people trying it out and almost all of them moving away rather quickly.

Usually I can look at a game for about 30 seconds and know if I’m going to like it or not. Not so much with this one. But I’ll certainly try it.

The benefits of a service like Gamepass and credit to Capcom for just trying stuff. I played a game published by Capcom last year called Shinsekai which was an underwater Metroidvania souls-like crafting game. I didn’t really like it as it was too slow but I rate Capcom as one of the best developers in the world and partly for reasons like this. They just try shit sometimes.

This is by the same team that made that Shinsekai game btw.

Tried the demo today, not going too much into the details but it was surprisingly enjoyable. Combat feels really good albeit limited (by design) and it's very intuitive to command your troops. If this wasn't such a busy year (or if I was a permanent GP subscriber) I'd probably pick it up. Shoutouts also to the UI design, it's very playful, beautiful but still very readable.

Hope it does well. I realise I'm part of the problem by not buying it, at least not right away, but it's the kind of wacky stuff we need more of.
