Think it’s kind of genius from a marketing perspective, puts eyes on on GTA6 that may not necessarily be on the game.

 

For gamers, we’ve all heard of GTA6 already but for non-gamers seeing a big ad on the front page on Netflix it might inspire some clicks and then once those non-gamers see the game in action it might move them to a purchase. 
 

I think all the paywall noise is a bit bollocks really, who doesn’t have Netflix in 2026? Not many folks. And even if you don’t have it it’s on YouTube 6 hours later so who gives a fuck.

Some of the gameplay stuff coming in about the traffic, driving and police/wanted system in this actually sounds pretty cool. It's the first thing about this game that sounds interesting to me.

 

These aren't 'spoilers' but fuck it I don't want the smoke if people are looking forward to that Netflix thing (it's stuff about driving)

It does sound like RDR2 but maybe in ways that aren't masturbatory, perhaps. They're the kinda thing you put in a game with infinite resources

That’s the opposite of what I want. Sounds really irritating to me. I’ve somehow missed all the leaks (probably because I’ve not got Twitter) so hopefully that upcoming trailer puts some of these things into context where they’re not as bad as it sounds. I really didn’t like RDR 2 so hearing it compared to that so much is really off putting too.

I'd imagine nowadays, reflective of vehicle technology you can probably just toggle a speed limiter, signpost recognition and collision detection system, and not have to manually care to much about it anyway.

Have seen some of the leaks on Reddit over the past week, whilst they’re obviously representative of the game you can tell it’s an old unpolished build of the game as it’s not impressive graphically and looks a bit rough around the edges in general.

I disagree about the graphics tbh, the colour grading/lighting of dusk looks beyond any game I've seen, artistically anyway

 

Some of the footage out there seems to be HDR in an SDR container and I think has led people to think the game is very grey looking, when its more an error of the recording software the leaker used probably

I mean, it's not like we haven't seen man wang in GTA V. I don't mind it as long as it's part of the game and not just awkward digital porn. I'm more than happy if it's played for laughs, too. But if it's a creepy, extended focal point, I might feel a bit off about that.

I watched a clip the other day,but I'm not getting the game, I can't really be spoilt on it. What I saw was pretty tame, the sort of thing you'd expect in GTA, an activity, driving around, shooting.

The 'mentality' is basically, if it's something I'm really interested in and that I think I will be bothered if I get spoiled, I'll set up my youtube to not recommend stuff to me and not scroll on websites where it's being discussed. I did that with FFVII Rebirth and will do with FFVIIR3 as well. 

 

If I'm not bothered about the story, then there's nothing to spoil my enjoyment really. Tho in this case there hasn't been any story leaks yet I think. GTA simply doesn't really register that way for me, the story won't be the reason I play the game, when and if I get it (on PC, probably). From what I remember from the GTAs I did play, the story tends to kinda peter out towards the end. GTAIV's did anyway, not totally sure about V

Holy fuck, GTA6. Despite the gameplay being really basic and even some of the technologies not being able to be maxed out on console, it is incredible. What an unbelievable looking thing 

 

I’m so glad we getting cool games again. I obviously enjoy fantasy, sci-fi, and whatever but games have been going so hard in those directions for so long between Forza, 007 and GTA6 it’s good to return to normal-ish reality 

 

I’m so happy with the tone. It’s still leans towards more crazy action than say a GTA4 and RDR2, but the characters are serious and not cartoonish like I thought the GTA5 cast were. It looks like they struck a nice balance of seriousness and high action. I was pessimistic and thought it’d be a straight party, cartoon game 

 

Extremely impressed. That was a great demo. Just shame it’s not on a disc and can actually own it

Just watched it.

 

Slight negative out of the way first - I really, really hope there’s a 60fps option. I hate 30fps so much. Just distracting throughout. This leads to a 2nd negative though, it already looks quite soft image quality wise to me so I’d imagine a 60fps mode would look even worse. Copium - this may just be a Netflix streaming issue though. I also think the classic HUD style elements like the gun image look really cheap and out of place against how the rest of the game looks.

 

Those slight negatives out of the way though, I thought it looks great! The gunfights looked really flashy and dynamic. Loved how the lights exploded and when the dude got thrown through a wall. The switching between characters during the mission looked really cool too and I love how you can switch during a car chase, using 1 to drive and swapping to the other to shoot. 
 

I hope the character management shit is kept to a minimum, but just moment to moment and story stuff looks brill.

I haven't seen it, but based on reports I'd just guess the framerate not being 60 is cause its so ambitious and simulating lots of things, and to get 60fps you would need to scale back on its design rather than its visuals

 

I always imagined that 30fps would become the norm again with consoles but it never did, but maybe that's cause its harder than ever to make a complex game that pushes CPU in that manner, I dunno,  and GTA6 is the version of what an ambitious 30fps game could be
