one-armed dwarf Posted March 3 Posted March 3 I dunno, agree to disagree on Wolverine but RE9 is like Looney Tunes imo, lol 1 hour ago, mfnick said: RE9 gore is so good. The way it sticks to the walls and ceilings when you blow a zombie up is incredible. A lot more serious than this though which is where I say this is more cartoony.
Maf Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Someone made a good point that how expressive can you make Wolverine combat, really? Watching it again, I think they could be right. It’s not like Wolverine is going to have lots of different weapons or combat styles. It might come down to how interactive is the environment and what types of enemies there are to fight. Because Wolverine is kind of just a slasher The things that really stuck out to me was the Uncharted set piece aspect. As soon as he was jumping from high speed truck to truck, well, Uncharted 2 has probably defined this idea to me forever because that was a mind blowing level when that game did it. I didn’t even realise games could do that. I hope this game has a lot of big set pieces to maybe help the combat variety The other thing that stands out is the detail. The graphics on this game are ultra high quality but the detail in the art is also next level. I really like that Wolverine’s elbows are red which already shows how hard and rough his life has been. Even in the cutscenes the little marks of blood left on his mask and stuff is really cool. When he kills someone over the puddle the blood goes all over him but turns the water red. It’s what still separates Sony from everyone else. The level of production is unmatched. Even if the gameplay itself, I think will be a good time, but still looking a bit standard
Nag Posted June 27 Posted June 27 Time to start getting the pre-orders in to help spread out the ridiculously packed Sept/Oct/Nov run of games... this got done today, just the normal edition. 1
Maf Posted July 23 Posted July 23 Comic con trailer I can’t remember if I said this recently in the Marvel media thread but I strongly dislike the Wolverine and Jean relationship in any iteration. It does not sit well with me 1
Maf Posted August 29 Posted August 29 You can either turn the blood off or reduce it under accessibility. I’ll play with it on first time because I’m a big believer in experiencing games on the first playthrough the way the designers “intended” (obviously it’s all intended, they built all the options, but you know what I mean, everything as default) and then when doing NG+ turn it off to see how impacts the game
