DANGERMAN Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 to be fair, because this is getting a bit tiresome to read so I'm going to add to it 😄 Forza is very much the outlier for racing games. The regular series in the genre, Ride, Project Cars etc don't sell anything like this much, and would not be considered mainstream. Racing games have got more specialist, it's just you do get the occasional Forza and Mario Kart in amongst that 1

DisturbedSwan Posted November 20, 2021 Posted November 20, 2021 The game is great, kudos to Playground for putting out another banger 🔥 I expected as much from Xbox’s best studio.

mfnick Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Slightly disappointed it’s Hot Wheels again, especially now there’s also a decent official game based on it. But God damn it looks fucking awesome!
spatular Posted February 23, 2023 Posted February 23, 2023 The rally dlc for the first game is awesome! So fingers crossed for this one to be as good. 1
DisturbedSwan Posted February 24, 2023 Posted February 24, 2023 Yeah well up for this as well, should be a banger. 1
Maf Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 Damn I suppose Sea of Thieves was already a huge game to go 3rd party but seeing one of Xbox’s big legacy titles go over is really sad
Maryokutai Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 It really seems like they've given up if that turns out to be true, and series like Halo and Gears aren't an 'if' but a 'when' question now. On the plus side they probably would have to re-negociate those licensing deals for this release, so if nothing else this at least extends the game's shelf life on Xbox.
one-armed dwarf Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 Will be interesting to see if they use Dualsense haptics as a selling point on this, and if that makes it better than the Xbox one
Nag Posted August 15, 2024 Author Posted August 15, 2024 Look on the bright side... at least PlayStation will have a decent driving game.👍
Maf Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 There’s a big Xbox guy on Twitter who denied this, but we’ll see
mfnick Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 Holy shit. This is like the best XSX game & Forza is a huge Xbox name. Massive if true.
Maryokutai Posted March 5, 2025 Posted March 5, 2025 As seems to become more common with Microsoft's releases, this won't get a physical version on PS5: https://insider-gaming.com/forza-horizon-5-has-no-current-plans-for-physical-release-on-ps5/ Now just by principle this is dumb IMO, but if you add the tiny issue of time-limited licenses to this then we're yet again looking at a game that will disappear from the face of the earth in five years or so, and the only version that will still be available then is a pre-owned physical Xbox One version. Admittedly it was a pipe dream to expect MS of all publishers to ship this content-complete on two discs for PS5, but it's more than just a little unfortunate that only the worst version of the game will remain available in the long run (at least on console, on PC there will always be 'workarounds' I guess). 1
Guest Posted March 5, 2025 Posted March 5, 2025 How much they charging for it I wonder. FH5 is one of those games/series like gta that I keep trying and wanting to love over and over.
