On the Xbox front, the pay monthly deal is quite tempting and I’m all in on Game Pass anyway. Plus my current machine is a launch one. On the PS5, there’s Demon’s Souls. Plus my current machine is launch (ish) base model, still beeps at me a lot and the fan is ridiculous. For me the biggest feature I would need to have is I buy one and all my previous downloads pop up to install on the new machine, to properly retire the older machines.
DANGERMAN Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 I've just put a fiver down on the PS5 so looks like I'm getting that, no way I'm cancelling and losing that fiver! Realistically I could have waited. I'll be getting Cyberpunk right before, and I'm not short of things to play, but the point was made to me that come 2020 we might have to pay more to import stuff. I'm getting it anyway, might as well get it now Is anyone going for the digital versions of the consoles? 1
one-armed dwarf Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 I would go with diskless only if it ran quiter/cooler/consumed less power or something like that cause the money 'saved' aspect of it would cancel itself out over time if it's just the same thing except you cant play discs Or if it was way smaller, which it isn't. I already own a digital only system and only buy digital but they need to upsell me more on the advantages of this thing cause I don't see it
RYAN WHITELAW Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 Im locked in for a Series X. I have preordered a PS5. Although im likely to cancel the PS5 as frankly, it would be daft for me to buy it for one game. Also sold my Oculus Quest and pre-ordered the Quest 2.

AndyKurosaki Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 Can’t afford a new console this year, so I’m waiting til next year. It’ll be PS5 for me. I’ve nothing against Xbox. But I can’t afford to keep two consoles ongoing (thank you, expense of owning a car).
