Super hyped by the whole presentation. Ascension was a bit of a weird one though as I'm not sure exactly what it is? But yeah everything else is super exciting, I know the film didn't review great but I absolutely lapped it up at the time. 

 

I know I've been down on Bloober in the past but SH coming back in the form of a full next-gen SH2 remake is super exciting and The Medium gave me confidence Bloober can nail it. Townfall is by the Stories Untold and Observation devs, both of those are really great little games and I know they can nail SH. 

 

SHf is the biggest unknown and I've never heard of Neobards but the trailer was fantastic, looking forward to finding out more, I'd imagine it's a long ways off.

 

I was gonna turn this into the Silent Hill 2 Remake thread but that's unexpectedly got a different thread so this will have to be the Silent Hill f thread for now lol.

The devs of this made the DMC HD collection. Hell of a step up from that, this is.

if some of that is in-engine then the character models are really good. Sane as anything, especially Silent Hill, we need to properly see it. It looks bettter than some of the older games post The Room, so it's at least promising

Looks really good... obviously it's got shades of Project Zero but that's the setting and main character more than anything else. Cautiously optimistic.

I still don't fully trust the Silent Hill name, but I hope this is good. Surprising amount of combat shown, and I guess it all being melee makes sense, where would a school girl get a gun? It's Japan not America

I’m still waiting to find the balls to play SH2 Remake and there were criticisms of the last Silent Hill game on PC but still, as it stands, seems like a great deal

I think people don't take famitsu that seriously, at least not after stuff

like this (though its ten years ago at this point). 

 

But there was another leaked review that gave it 9.5 from dualshockers I think so possibly it'll get that kind of score anyway

The first thing I think of when I see Silent Hill is 'superhuman dodges'.

 

The reviews are strong but it doesn't sound like one for me. They're doing cool things with the IP now though and maybe one day they'll make a SH game I like again.

The Pro sounds like such a misstep this gen... especially with how decent the first ones were.

 

I'm playing this on Series X though, probably in quality mode (if there is one)
