one-armed dwarf Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 I was thinking of giving XVI another go at some point, tho prefarably with some end-game save that just lets me play the DLC. The high end boss fights can be really really fun if you don't use the boring massive cooldown skills and actually play it like a character action game, especially with its sort of MMO raid boss approach to those fights which it turns out is a great thing to combine with character action. It's a shame that there's so much bad mmo stuff in there as well, in its quest design which is taken straight from FFXIV. A great example of a superlative game turned into a really annoying and boring one by stuff that it didn't need to have, overshadowing the parts that are great. I know that's how people feel about rebirth, which I disagree on, but with XVI fully agree on
Maf Posted June 10, 2025 Posted June 10, 2025 That was quick (I read all the words this time @Nag I think I got it right this time)
Nag Posted June 10, 2025 Posted June 10, 2025 A+ for your reading ability this time @Maf... give yourself a pat on the back.👍
Nag Posted July 2, 2025 Posted July 2, 2025 Leaving July 15 Flock (Cloud, Console, and PC) Mafia Definitive Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC) Magical Delicacy (Cloud, Console, and PC) Tchia (Cloud, Console, and PC) The Callisto Protocol (Cloud, Console, and PC) The Case of the Golden Idol (Cloud, Console, and PC) 2
Maf Posted July 2, 2025 Posted July 2, 2025 I still kind of want to try the old Mana games. But the newest one, Visiona of Mana, is so fucking bad and furry-like it’s kind of put me off The Ascent is a return to Gamepass but pretty great
Maryokutai Posted July 2, 2025 Posted July 2, 2025 Haven't played Vision yet but Trials of Mana is a rock-solid 7/10 whose only shortcomings can be attributed to the fact that it's basically ancient at this point. I really enjoyed it though and have even been pondering the idea of going through it again on Switch 2 as it got quite the FPS boost there.
DANGERMAN Posted July 5, 2025 Posted July 5, 2025 I played both High On Life and the Ascent on Game Pass years ago. They can't have been removed all that long ago?
Craymen Edge Posted July 5, 2025 Posted July 5, 2025 I looked it up, The Ascent came out longer ago than I realised. It released on game pass July 2021 and left in July 2023. I played a few hours and liked it but had too much going on at the time, I ended up getting it really cheaply on Steam last year.
Maf Posted July 5, 2025 Posted July 5, 2025 I feel like people should try The Ascent. It’s pretty cool
Nag Posted July 15, 2025 Posted July 15, 2025 Leaving 31st July... Gigantic (Cloud, Console, and PC) Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (Cloud, Console, and PC) Turnip Boy Robs a Bank (Cloud, Console, and PC)
Maryokutai Posted July 15, 2025 Posted July 15, 2025 Saw the trailer for that earlier, actually looks somewhat interesting, some kind of 2D-HD Prison Break with foxes. Looks like a decent lineup though, I'd definitely play Wheel World and try out Wuchang if I had GP.

DANGERMAN Posted July 15, 2025 Posted July 15, 2025 the DLC for Robocop is out at the end of the week, I've got it preordered on PC cheap through cdkeys
mfnick Posted July 15, 2025 Posted July 15, 2025 I’ve got it ordered too. Standalone which is good as well.
