Couldn’t find a CoD news thread so guess this will do 

 

Yeah. Because most console owners own a PS5. This was the “problem” with it not being exclusive. But I guess the court cases tied their hands on this and the way their multi-format strategy has developed I have to assume they don’t care
 

Genuinely find it hard to understand how they ever expect to have success on console with no exclusives (CoD aside, just in general). Exclusives aren’t even a video game thing every business tries to have them.

I think the console + PC thing was alright as a compromise. They might have 'lost' a couple of console sales through that but overall those are two different target audiences with limited overlap. What I don't understand is why they want to continue to build hardware going forward when the plan is to bring everything everywhere.

 

I just need to remind myself to put in all my backwards compatible games in my Series X and download those ROMs before the shit hits the fan.

My guess is they already started developing the next Xbox committing lots of money to it before the multi-format strategy came in, so they’ll see it through.
 

But I think the only way it does well is if they really get innovative on what a console can be. They’ve already talked about having a more open platform and letting other stores on it. Maybe they go even harder with back compat and use AI somehow to get old games looking really great. Maybe they actually build a really developer friendly box so Xbox constantly outperforms PS6 

 

But at the end of the day I think Sony has already proven console gamers like straight forward and new games over old games, features and subscriptions 

 

I also think the more these “forever” games last like Fortnite new consoles become harder to sell for everybody and kids want PC’s because that’s what their favourite streamer has.

 

Bleak. But especially for Xbox, I think the next Xbox is definitely the last Xbox

I’ve been waiting for that to come to consoles since I first heard about it on PC. It’s absolutely my shit, basically a 2D Sekiro from what people say. Downloaded immediately, just too tired to play it tonight though.

Which would you consider the best one? For me it's on par with Mario Kart DS and Sonic Racing Transformed at the top.

I quite liked the first one, the story was interesting, but yeah its not much of a game, theres some time management and choices to make and that’s about it so if you think it looks boring you’ll probably find it boring. (Haven’t watched the trailer so it could be completely different I guess)

 

edit - the rally game is good, its sort of dirt rally 3 but a bit different.
