Bob Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Very happy to see slay the spire on there since I've wanted to try it, just not for £20. I'll probably take a look at Pandemic as well since it's based on a board game, even if it does just look like a shit version of Plague Inc.

Maf Posted August 11, 2019 Posted August 11, 2019 I gave Blazing Chrome a try because it was on GP and eventually beat level 2. I’ll admit I have no nostalgia for this type of game and even less skills at them. I haven’t played many pure run and gun Contra style games before, I’m actually racking my brain to think of any? I definitely have I just can’t think of what. But with that out of the way, man, I don’t think I could like this game less. I don’t know why it’s one hit kill, I don’t know why every time I die it automatically swaps me to my good guns I want to save for the boss, I don’t know why I have to almost do a downward facing hurricane kick just to look the other way when lying down instead of holding RB and looking left. I don’t know why ‘stick’ is on RB. Again, I freely admit I’m not the person who this game is for, but all the same that was entirely miserable.

Maf Posted August 13, 2019 Posted August 13, 2019 I’ve played some of Contra 1 before finding it massively too difficult and I played the entirety of a Metal Slug game once on a PS2 compilation disc but I can’t remember what one.
