The  mother-in-law sent me some Xbox 360 games she'd seen at a charity fete.

 

Guess she was thinking:

 

Steve likes football = FIFA  13

Steve likes rugby = Rugby 15

 

But no idea what she thought I must be in to when she also got me GTA V......

Off to spend the weekend with a couple of mates, thought I’d pick up a third pad to go along with the Pro Controller and the Hori wired pad.

 

I wondered why this was 20 quid cheaper than the official Pro pad. Turns out it’s because it’s old school battery time.

 

 

Has mappable buttons on the back for whatever reason.

It’s one of these if anyone’s interested.

The shop also had a GameCube style pad which was tempting.

Those buttons on the back are sick once you get used to them. I'm hoping the next generation of consoles ships with them as standard but it seems unlikely since that would prevent them from charging extra for them. Taller sticks wouldn't hurt while they are at it either.

I freaked out and bought Dark Souls 2 and 3 on PS4 and Borderlands and Dying Light on Xbox because they were all on sale. Think it was about £47 something for the lot

Super Mario Maker 2, Dandy Dungeon and Urban Trial Playground all purchased digitally.

Could have done without the DLC code insulting me when I opened up the game but I guess that's the first blow to my sanity.

Vanquish was £3.74 on Xbox’s super sale and I only have the PS3 version so this was well worth it. One of the best action games I’ve ever played. 

 

They also have Bayonetta on there for £5 something but I have the disc in the other room and I’m not that lazy
