Jimboxy Posted September 9, 2020 Author Posted September 9, 2020 So, we can duplicate and edit themes in the back end. I've been looking at some colour pallets online so if you see stuff changing colour randomly, it's probably me tinkering. I'm aiming for a light and dark theme, with the dark probably using a similar pallet to discords, once done you'll be able to swap between them. We will see how easy this is to achieve first though.
Jimboxy Posted September 9, 2020 Author Posted September 9, 2020 I've swapped out the white background on the header which I think is an improvement.
DANGERMAN Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 This update does seem to have finally fixed the issue of the page bouncing back up on mobile
DANGERMAN Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 @OCH been meaning to ask this for a while, not sure if it's something that happens for everyone or just me. Have you got your sig hosted elsewhere? I ask because it takes a while to load and shows as a white box 3 times larger than it actually is until it does. If so, assuming you can, can you host it on the site rather than wherever it's pulling from? 1

I can't remember where I got it from now, so it is probably just easier to get rid of it.

This new one seems to load a lot quicker 1
mmmark Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 Good morning. Why won’t my link work at the bottom of my post here?: I had it as text to begin with (source)* and it didn’t work so I’ve left it as is and it’s still is being arsey. Any ideas? *this too I tried making a link and it hasn’t stuck. Is the forum just being naughty atm?
DANGERMAN Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 I've turned it in to a link but it doesn't want to work for me, I get an alert that it's not secure.

I've added a wildcard in the back end that filters any links that aren't https (ie esecure). If you post a link from a none secure site, it will just post the link text but not make it a live link. @mmmark
DANGERMAN Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 I added the S because of that and repasted it, still came up as text. Possibly because it recognised it as the same link
one-armed dwarf Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 Site doesn;t have any ssl it looks like cause I got the evil 'oh shit this site might be trying to steal your stuff' red page on chrome when I did https
DANGERMAN Posted September 22, 2020 Posted September 22, 2020 And we got spam this morning. Nice one @mmmark?

merman1974 Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 So the updated forum software will no longer work on my iPad... means I will be around here less, as I don't always get the time to check/post while on the laptop...
spatular Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 that's odd, it's working ok on an ipad here, i usually refuse ios updates though so maybe a new one of those doesn't like the forum?

Which iPad are you using? Are you using Safari to access? AFAIK it should be accessable on all browsers back to ie 7
one-armed dwarf Posted September 23, 2020 Posted September 23, 2020 Is there a way to check the version of safari? Funny enough at work today we find out our latest release is completely broke on safari too ?

Worked fine on my iPad last night. I've got a 2017 iPad and use Safari.
OCH Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 Is there an issue with the update and new threads? I just had two merge together that although tangentially related, are annual threads and therefore are context specific. Perhaps because they share similar wording? In a couple months, I'll put up the 2021 thread. Which could be even weirder if it joined to the [soon to be redundant] thread for this year.
Jimboxy Posted September 25, 2020 Author Posted September 25, 2020 Which thread(s)? I can't imagine that the software does that. It might have been a mod or when we've been trying to fix something.
