I thought there was a news thread for loot boxes but I can't find it.

Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo aren't going to allow loot boxes on their consoles unless the devs publish the chance rates

Following the ESA's announcement that Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft will all require publishers to declare item drop rate odds for any title that features loot boxes on their consoles starting next year, Sony has shared its own statement on the decision.

"Sony Interactive Entertainment aims to ensure PlayStation users have access to information and tools, such as parental wallet controls, that will help them make informed decisions about in-game purchasing", a PlayStation spokesperson told Eurogamer.

"We support industry efforts to disclose the probability of obtaining randomised virtual items, known as loot boxes, and are committed to providing consumers with this information for all games we produce and publish.

9 got the same visual upgrade more or less. The characters are outlined better and aren't a pixelated mess anymore.

Problem is the environments. They dont do anything with them on these remasters except apply a blurry vaseline filter to them and kill what little detail there is. Which I think you can kind of see in the pretty boy Squall picture above.

Hard to really say, compression smears things in it's own way as well.

Personally I prefer the grainy original. Its kind of weird seeing hi res anime squall against smeared backgrounds. Looks like a weird depth of field effect. But theres not a lot they can do without the original environment assets used to render the backgrounds

The backgrounds will be fine in motion, as they typically do. The gross Kingdom Hearts look of that Squall face looks a lot worse than any blurred background. What was wrong with enhancing and updating the character models based on the Nomura artwork of the original?
