DisturbedSwan Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 Robert Pattinson has been cast as the next Batman. Thoughts?
one-armed dwarf Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 I have heard that he's not a bad actor when he's in a movie he's interested in (not Twilight) Not that this actually matters, what's really important is does he have the chin to be Batman.
Bob Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 I think his distinct "Just smelled a fart" face that defined his performance in Twilight will be perfect for the caped crusader. 1
Rikzilla Posted May 17, 2019 Posted May 17, 2019 I haven’t seen him in anything other than Twilight/Harry Potter so I can’t say, but seeing as I’m championing Daniel Radcliffe to be the next Wolverine I’m gonna keep an open mind. It’s been a long time since Twilight, actors get better and great directors can pull amazing performances out of OK actors anyway, and apparently Pattinsons post-Twilight performances have been in the realm between good and great so he could be the right choice.

Adam West, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, George Clooney, Christian Bale, Ben Affleck... The casting of Batman has run the gamut with actors over the past fifty odd years. I don't think I've ever seen anything he has done, but provided he doesn't have Bale's "Bat-rasp", I have no issue. Let's see what he does with it.

Jimboxy Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 Omg iknowright. Spoiler I've no idea what this means 1
Maf Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 An explanation won’t help but trust this is a great development and at least for me easily the most exciting thing DC has going on
mmmark Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 So he wrote batman comics and she directed box office bomb a wrinkle in time. Can’t wait!
Maf Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 Or “He wrote Mister Miracle and she Directed Selma can’t wait” If this film actually gets made it will be awesome. I bet you ten pounds. 1
HandsomeDead Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 Wiivo being unfairly dismissive of a superhero film with a bad faith argument? Surely not? 2
mmmark Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 My ploy to get @Maf to actually tell us why it’s good news worked so there.
DANGERMAN Posted May 30, 2019 Posted May 30, 2019 someone did ? probably not worth this all getting tetchy over tbh
