OCH
I was thinking that for the Majora's Mask one. Reminiscent of the gold cartridge I used to have for it.

Popular Post DANGERMAN
Bar 10, which I shouldn't bother picking up but now I've done this probably will, I've now got all the mainline Dragon Quest games across various systems, and a few spin offs too
mfnick
That Jaguar pad… what were they thinking? Almost as bad as the GameCube one.

Jimboxy
I liked the Game Cube and the Dreamcast pads. I'm not sure I've ever really had a console with a pad I actively disliked.
Nag
The Wavebird was a great controller!
DANGERMAN
even I like the Gamecube controller, apart from the dpad. The Dreamcast one was decent for the time, obviously missing an analogue stick in hindsight. I didn't like the N64 pad that much at the time, that's not improved with time. The OG OG Xbox pad was pretty bad, joycons are bad

They're okay when playing handheld, but was controllers off the Switch they're not great. I didn't mind the N64 controller at the time, but wouldn't want to use one now. Sly Reflex
The Wiimote was dogshite tier for a controller. Innovative, yes, but my god it was awful, even with the accuracy thing they added. It was so impractical for anything outside of motion controlled gimmick guff.
one-armed dwarf
Wiimote was functional but the real problem was the lack of innovation with a lot of that console's library, beyond just the initial innovation of motion control I suppose it's all been completely vindicated now by VR anyway. Starting with the later generations of dualshock 4 I've seem to have had endless bad luck with Sony controllers. I like their ergonomics though, as one of the few people who seems to prefer symmetrical sticks (I cant easily access the xbox dpad and face buttons at the same time, which I really need to do with the games I play)
mfnick
Nintendo’s controllers are always terrible apart from for the odd games which have been designed specifically around them.

Yeah it's horrendous. Each game gave you overlays to put over the 9 grey buttons (example below), pretty hilarious.
OCH
My issue was the same with both pads - the dpad. The Wavebird dpad was obnoxiously small and fiddly. The Dreamcast one, was so hard and badly designed. Your reward for using it was typically blisters. Many hours of MK: Deadly Alliance on GC and MvC on DC, burned those lessons into even my memory. Also don't think I've ever had a pad or handheld that I've actively disliked. Although I do vaguely remember a cheap 3rd party PSOne pad that gave a mild shock if you clicked the sticks in. We didn't keep that one long... 😅

The designs wore of pretty easily tho iirc.
Popular Post Maryokutai
As mentioned somewhere else I'm currently moving all my stuff from my mother's house, which included some boxes of GC, PS2, Wii and Xbox360 games, which I spontaneously just put into this shelf in my living room but it actually doesn't look half bad. (Resolution should be big enough to go through the names if someone wants to). There's some 360 stuff missing but I think instead of finding another place for those I'd probably just get rid of some of the garbage here, like the SEGA Marvel games.
Maf
Is it alphabetical? From what I can see it looks alphabetical. If so then two thumbs up. One thumb for neatness, two thumb for alphabetical
Popular Post Maryokutai
It's alphabetical except for God of War and MGS3, which have very different cases and would have stuck out like sore thumbs. And as my father sold me two of these shelves I spontaneously filled up the second one yesterday evening as well. It's a bit messier and I need to find another place for the Switch games but it's a good temporary solution to get most of it out of the way: Also random display of various Special Editions on the other side of my home office. The little thing getting burned by a solar flare is the plush Kirby from Epic Yarn.
