HandsomeDead
You can grab anything through legally dubious means. It's not a sound argument. They don't have to go through licensing and contracts to get them released. And they are just doing business and what makes sense to them rather than giving everything up. Nintendo's online service isn't very good but to expect the same as the emulation scene is just fantasy, and not based in reality. I think if those games go up tomorrow it would be worth signing up for. There are some classic and very replayable games in that list.
Sly Reflex
Licencing? They own those fucking games, it's not like I'm saying there should be Goldeneye up there or something that would require legal legwork.
HandsomeDead
They don't own everything ever put on the SNES which is what emulation offers.
Sly Reflex
I'm not saying they do, but almost all of the stuff everyone wants to play they do.

AndyKurosaki
Mostly the usual suspects that appear then. Which is no bad thing,as they represent some of the absolute best the SNES had to offer. Pop N Twinbee doesn’t show up often,so that’s a good choice.
mmmark
Don’t forget this exists. I’ve altered the title to include SNES.
HandsomeDead
I tried Demons Crest today because I've seen it speed run a couple of times and thought it looked cool. Those folk unsurprisingly make it look a lot easier than it is. It's tough but I'm going back to it when I'm feeling more serious.
spatular
had a quick go of stunt race and its not been improved as far as i can tell, as expected really, but i can't cope with the frame rate these days so a new version of that with higher resolution and better frame rate i think would be great, like what M2 did to virtua racing. put mario kart on the title screen just to listen to the music. retroed
If anyone wants to play some Super Mario Kart, hit me up!
mmmark
I will sometime @retroed. I tried it tonight and found it almost uncontrollable. The years have not been kind to me.
Jimboxy
It's the shitty analogue sticks imo. I tried Mario world this morning and kept dying on the first creature. I'll try this evening with my sn30 and see if it's any better.
bellow
My mind is a hell to me. I've been looking forward to Link's awakening for a while. But I've never played A link to the past. Now I can get that virtually free I'm thinking maybe I should cop the new game down the line, possibly in an eshop sale, and scratch my Zelda itch with the classics. I'm only torn because I want to save my pennies for DQ11, which has now become a day one pick up. Ooh, decisions.
Bob
Do you really want to wait 3 months for Nintendo to knock £7 off in a sale? I picked up 3 £30 vouchers from cdkeys and then got the two game vouchers for £84 and then pre-ordered Zelda and got the 5 quid ish gold points so I'm basically making money at this point. bellow
7 quid is still the price of a night out with theatre and meal in Liverpool.
Bob
You can't fool me, I'm only over in Runcorn and even here where the currency is cigarette papers and roaches you couldn't afford a night out on that.
bellow
Maybe I should let the game decide. Boot it up and see if it's SNES-like charms draw me in.
Maf
If you like OoT more you should get ALttP but if you liked MM more than you should get LA It’s basically the same trade AM I R?
bellow
Interesting. Marjora's mask is the only Zelda I've played that I didn't really like.
DisturbedSwan
I really wouldn’t buy DQXI over Link’s Awakening myself @bellow. I think the only Zelda I’ve loved is OoT really. TWW, MM and BotW would probably be in the ‘liked’ bracket but I never finished the former, I’d play a Switch Remaster though. I’ve never played AlttP or the OG Link’s Awakening.
