DANGERMAN
I played through book 1 the other night and enjoyed it. I'm not sure it clicked for me the way it has for others but it is a lovely looking game, hard to dislike
spatular
played the first book and a bit of the second, it's lovely missed loads of jems so lots of stuff to go back to.
spatular
finished 3 books, been back to get more gems and stuff. really enjoying it. it doesn't ramp up the puzzling as much as i'd hoped it would, but then i haven't done many of the tick things, and some of them take a bit of thought. Pikman
Another game of 2014 for me then. I am loving this Getting all the stamps as I go so usually having to do each level twice, means I'm getting the most from it. I did feel like a bit of a plum spinning around in my lounge firing turnips 360 degrees, lol.
AndyKurosaki
Got this down as a rental. I enjoyed them in SM3DWorld, but the later missions baffled me a bit. How is this, difficulty wise?
HandsomeDead
Fairly straightforward from what I've played (a good chunk into the second chapter). Getting everything is sometimes a bit of a head scratcher but general progress is pretty simple.
AndyKurosaki
Cool, that's good to know. Genuinely got enough to play at the moment (Hyrule Warriors is on the way). But certainly interested in playing this.
spatular
yeah, agree with DC, progress isnt a big problem. some collectables i couldn't work out how to get. i was slightly disappointed with the game, but that's probably because my expectations were really high, i still really enjoyed it, just was expecting some more cleaver puzzles and more variety. you can use the control stick for the turnip shooting, you don't have to spin around yourself, although maybe it's more fun that way? AndyKurosaki
Oh for fucks sake. I noticed we had this at work last night (amazed we even have a Wii U section still), £30. My parents gave me £40 the other day for my birthday at the end of this month. I'm going to end up buying this, aren't I? ;-)
Pikman
Damn, I wish I knew that. I ended up feeling a bit dizzy! If you own a Wii U, I'd say it's well worth picking up. In really enjoying it, not all that challenging but you do need to think a bit for the 100%'s as others have said. It's very pretty and lovely to be back in a Nintendo world
AndyKurosaki
See on the one hand, it's my brother's birthday on thursday, could use that money towards a nice pub meal out. On the other hand, Captain Toad. And my terrible willpower...
illdog
Your brother thinks you're a cunt, get you some Toad.
AndyKurosaki
Heh, that's one way of putting it. I'll be back from work at 7am. Will Toad be with me? We will see...
AndyKurosaki
Bollocks, it was out of stock. Typical.
Hendo
I started it last night, only about 10 levels in, it's at the point where you have to start thinking about what to do to finish the levels properly. It's a good dip in, dip out kind of game.
Pikman
Edit for clarity: It's a good dip in, dip out kind of game. YES! Playing Captain Toad is just like S.E.X. Hendo nailed it.
Hendo
I really wouldn't remember!
Pikman
I think it's true. You dip in and out and each level is over in minutes.
Manicm
Been playing Captain Toad and its a very cute and lovable game, like the little puzzles and can see it getting tricky later on in the game, Loved the Mario 3d world level you can play that was loads of fun!! One thing that always gets me with the wii u and that's that the games would work just as well if not better on the 3ds, this game could be a great 3ds game, I wonder if anyone at Nintendo ever think what If we only had the 3ds how would the games work, I haven't played anything on the wii u that wouldn't be immense on the 3ds. If this is the way forward for Nintendo im looking forward to this years games can see the wii u getting more use than my xbox or ps console this year. AndyKurosaki
Just got this from Sainsburys. The money I had for my brothers birthday got put to good use.As it's unlikely we're going out tomorrow as he may be losing his job. On the plus side, I have Toad.
