Well, it's not completely dead as it's still making sounds and I can hear myself moving around the menus, but the screen will not come on at all. retroed Posted January 23, 2020 Share Posted January 23, 2020 I'm not dealing with ShopTo. Edit: also, the retailer does not have to replace it. I had a similar issue with a PS4 a few years ago. During this time, it's up to the retailer to prove that the fault wasn't there at the time of delivery - it's not up to you to prove that it was. I copied that from the consumer rights website. Also, you can argue that the item is not fit for purpose as a consumer tech product is normally judged to be able to last several years before general use may affect it.
