I missed it at the cinema as they come to dvd/digital so fast these days,that paying £10 for a cinema ticket is a losing game for me.

I often go with my old man and we pay £4.50 each for a ticket, cheaper than a BD/UHD BD for sure.

My girlfriend has a deal running with someone or other,but we’ve never used it really due to her work schedule.

 

I prefer watching at home,as then you don’t have the hassle of having dickhead strangers talking and being a pain during the film. And I can get a bag of Skittles for £1 instead of £5. Score.

Nothing compares to the cinema experience for me, I guess if you’ve got surround sound and a projector it would be close-ish but I don’t.

 

I always go to the Supermarket next to the Cinema and pick up food/drink before heading in too ?

A few of the cinemas around Manchester are only a fiver now. I had a spell in the summer of going and watching something during the day

We have a HD projector and decent sound system, but for me I'd still rather go to the cinema. Never buy your snacks at the cinema, that's just tax for poor planning. 

 

Back on topic. Good teaser trailer, good you don't really see anyone. I sort of hope that the snapped don't actually come back at all until the end but I can't imagine that'll be the case.

To be fair not 'all' Marvel movies need to be seen in the cinema - Ant-Man and The Wasp being one of them.

Yeah, I watched Ant-Man and The Wasp on TV, nothing was really lost.

Having the Limitless membership, I pay £15.99 a month and get to see as many films as I choose. If I want to 'upgrade' to 3D (or IMAX, I think) I have to pay £5 for the ticket, otherwise it's free. I tend to go for the latter, as I just want to watch a film on the bigscreen, I don't care if it's fancy. In the last few months, I think I've seen a dozen films, which ultimately puts me in profit with the membership.

 

Back on topic, I do hope with the "next" MCU after this. The proper one with the X-Men, FF etc they keep the masks on and stop fluffing the egos of the actors. This never used to be a problem with Superhero Movies in the past so I don't see why they do it now? You didn't see Ron Perlman shed the prosthetic playing Hellboy, after all.

I have Limitless too, it’s a godsend, especially since I tend to go watch the Star Wars movies 6 or 7 times ?

 

I 100% agree about the masks, it’s eapexially pissing me off with Spider-Man. It’s not really a problem in Homecoming, every time he opens his mouth in Infinity War he takes his mask off. Same with Iron Man. 

 

I get why Cap takes his on an off, he’s a soldier and it’s basically his helmet, but the MCU does play fast and loose with masks.

I saw black panther. Guess what I thought of shit. I mean it.

I didn’t like Black Panther either. Everyone was raving about it,so when it hit Prime I checked it out. And now,I can barely remember a thing about it. It was just utterly “meh”, nowhere near as fun as Ant Man, or Guardians Of The Galaxy.

 

So much praise was given for the villain,that he was one of the best in the MCU (not that that’s particularly hard). I can’t even remember his bloody name,that’s how forgettable he was.

Agreed. Also this was the first one where I think an over-reliance on CG was both noticeable and really poorly done. The car chase seen reviews raved about looks atrocious, it reminded me of the Green Goblin CG from Spider-Man 1. The mostly practical effects car chase from Venom was infinitely better.

I dunno what reviews you read saying the SFX were good.  It was fairly widely reported that the SFX were done on the cheap by a b-team while the regular team were on Infinity War.

Not the SFX in general, just that chase scene specifically.

I'm not really a fan of these films, but I liked Infinity War. It was bloated and excessive and had stuff that completely passes me by cause it concerned characters in a movie I didn't watch cause even the fans said it was bad.

 

But it worked for me, I dunno. I liked it a lot better than the other ones I saw. I actually saw it with a group of marvel nerds and I think I liked it better than they did.

 

But that trailer for the new film is pretty bad. I guess people don't need convincing to see the next Marvel. But that's what I think of all these trailers I think. The way they have that annoying "hammering" sound in the score in blockbuster trailers has become a big pet peeve of mine, more than the inception horns ever were.

I’ve never even noticed the mask thing. I’ll look out for it when I see Endgame in imax.

 

As for Black Panther, I didn’t rate it either. It was decent enough but one of my least favourite MCU films alongside Cap 2 Winter Soldier, Ant-Man 1, Iron Man 2 & 3 and GOTG2.
