They made a PG-13 version of Deadpool 2 called Once Upon a Deadpool, where the framing device is Deadpool telling the story of Deadpool 2 (deadpool deadpool) to Fred Savage's character from Princess Bride but he's like 45 years old and is under duress. Then all the gags and stuff are tuned down, no jokes about having the softest mouths in prison and other fucked up shit like that

Spoiler

The clips of this guy doing the Gambit voice 👏 imo he’s too bulky to play Gambit and he doesn’t look quite right. But I believe them when they say he’s always wanted to play this character. He gives it everything

I'm not a spoiler guy but I wonder how much you would get out of this film when you eventually watch it after consuming it in a fragments of off screen portrait perspective youtube clips. Given how much of the film seems to be about unexpected, fourth wall breaking cameos

I think it depends on investment, but if you're not bothered about the cameos, then there's not a lot else there IMO. The opening fight scene is very good, and there is a few more cool sequences in the film. The meta 4th wall stuff is funny and mostly stays in the right side of insufferable, but if you're not a fan of that stuff, it's about 75% of the films script. The actual plot is just fluff.

For what it's worth, I had a really good time with it, enjoyed all the surprise cameos as I didn't know about any of them going in, and I do enjoy the movie Deadpool character, but as a Deadpool film, I think the first two are probably better

Oh, no those 3 superhero costumes in the front (Purple, yellow and black) 🤣 they’re missing one

Spoiler

This is during the Clone Saga when either Spider-Man was a wanted criminal or Peter was having one of he’s many identity crisis, I can’t remember. But he tries out different superhero identities, and they all suck

Kraven trailer

Looks better than expected, still kind of throwaway, though. Don’t even know what the film is about apart from them just saying hunter/hunting over and over

They’re finally doing the Rhino “right” and Spider-Man isn’t even around 😭

Back in March, the showrunner of X-Men 97 got fired for undisclosed reasons. He claimed just now that he had his season 2 credits taken away for posting a pride image of Cyclops but Disney have come out and said the reason he got fired initially was cause of some really bad findings in an internal investigation

Quote

“Mr. DeMayo was terminated in March 2024 following an internal investigation,” the studio said in a statement. “Given the egregious nature of the findings, we severed ties with him immediately and he has no further affiliation with Marvel.”

A source with knowledge of the investigation said evidence was discovered of sexual misconduct, and that DeMayo repeatedly violated his termination agreement, which led to the removal of his credits for Season 2.

50 minutes in to Spider-Verse 2. Fucking hell, dude. One more of these and they have the best trilogy of all time full stop. The writing, wit, and the art, colour and camera usage is unreal. Everything I dislike about animated movies this film corrects. Everything the other Spider-Man movies miss this has. Everything live action superhero films can’t do is alive here and makes this even more enjoyable

They’re so inventive with every aspect of Spider-Man as well. You can’t find this kind of originality in Spider-Man anything. This is an amazing, feel good, heart warming and likeable world and cast with the perfect pangs of sorrow and loneliness just at the right times and the right amount to make it so Spider-Man.

This is whoa I’m running out of words I could gush about it all day. All the little jokes and and pops of tension release is making me let out little sounds of joy just watching it.

Just so good

Wow. It just gets better. What a brilliant use of Spider-Man fiction. If you don’t know comics, films, MCU, other Marvel films, etc, it doesn’t matter it still works. But they are using everything from everywhere and it makes it even more rewarding because it’s not just Easter eggs, they’re reverse engineering events from other Spider-Man stories to reinforce this one.

This is fucking great.
