There's bits of it that are really funny, I mostly enjoyed episode 2. Biffo is good on it, not sure about a couple of others. I don't want to be too critical, I think Biffo has been reading some of the criticism and not taken it especially well. Episode 3 looks like it's going to be good so I'll stick with it

What did you say? He ignored mine :(

Something like “are you pouring salt on those girls?” I think it was meant to look like snow but I’m sure it was icing sugar. He’s taken comments and gone full steam ahead. It’s probably making his bank manager happy.

Finished up Digitiser and I enjoyed it on the whole. The actual gaming side of it needs to be improved for the next series, what might be interesting stuff is a mess or buried under the nonsense. The comedy is hit and miss, and is obviously going to vary depending on your taste, it made me laugh a few times though

Thingy kitten looked like she hated being there, so she might not come back but she was decent on it, Gameplay Jenny knows her stuff even if it's not my era, and Larry knows his stuff, more detail from those two would be good

There’s not many gaming YouTubers I bother with,as a lot of them are awful. I’ve tried a few Dunkey videos, don’t appeal to me. As for Dave Perry,I don’t know what’s funnier. His inability to get over his loss at Mario 64,or his “I like tits,me” Bikini Babes. What a muppet.

Angry Joe is always interesting,as is Jim Sterling. The only series I regularly bother with is Game Grumps,Arin and Dan are often genuinely hilarious, particularly their A Way Out,and House Party playthroughs.

I saw this in my recommended part of YouTube recently and thought I'd share for anyone interested in the history of obscure hardware:

This lady knows her stuff:

Here is a TV with a Famicom built in:

And here is the strange history of iterations of the Master System:

There isn't a lot in her channel as it seems she runs a fairly successful independent video game store as her day job (I guess one that may specialise in some weird stuff (and likely being under 30.  Sickening)) but the few bits on there are pretty interesting.

Oh yeah man she’s awesome. Owns the Pink Gorilla game stores in Seattle, the flagship store is hands down the best game store I’ve ever been in - huge selection of  retro and contemporary, and the best prices I’ve ever seen not from a private collector.

I picked up both SMT: Devil Survivor games on DS for $15 each.

If you ever go to Seattle (which you totally should) make sure Pink Gorilla is on your ‘to do’ list. And also Raygun Lounge.

So I've been following this YouTuber for a while and I'm just gonna share.  Dunno if anyone else here likes video essays but I love them, and Lindsay Ellis is the queen of them.

I think the best thing she has done is a three part series on Peter Jackson's The Hobbit.  It makes it like a feature length documentary on the behind the scenes goings on that shines some light on why it wasn't The Lord of the Rings.  First part here:

Spoiler

Her stuff is mostly literature and Film based (but I did hear she got numerous offers from videogame sites but this was during the height of GamerGate and she was like "ha, nope!"(and looking in her back catalogue shows she's not an outsider to the scene)).  But her channel is just packed with amazing insights into nerd culture.

Like there is this great video on the Megan Fox's character in the first Transformers movie:

Spoiler

It's just I saw her most recent video tonight and remembered that maybe someone else would like to deep dive into stuff the reflects this dumb world we live in:

Sometimes it can get kinda heavy but stick with it since it is idiot proof by the end.  I mean I understood it.

But yeah, shout out to Lindsay Ellis.  Top tier YouTubing, here.
