I think some others have been playing this. Any thoughts.

I think I quite like it so far but it doesn't feel as sturdy as Ridiculous Fishing or Luftrausers (other Vlambeer games) but I put that down to this being made in Game Maker. It feels like some production values are missing.

But that's my only gripe, really. It's some good shooty fun with solid action and loads of Vlambeer screen shake.

It's one of those games that has Rogue elements in it except this is a top down dual stick shooter. There are randomly generated levels though the themes are always the same and the same bosses always turn up. You have a bunch of characters to unlock that have different properties.

It's a simple enough game.

It is hard, though. I've got to the point where I can pretty confidently go through section 3 but I can't get past 4-1. I just get destroyed by the sentient crystals that fire lasers pretty rapidly. I tend to use the purple crystal dude who has more health and can throw up a brief reflective shield. I reckon he is a newb character but this game is pretty hard so I have no shame using him.

I've been mostly playing it on the Vita, usually before work for 20 mins as it is pretty pick up and play. It's like Galak-Z in some ways except that is more complicated and does require longer sessions but I think they compliment each other well.

Yeah I've been playing it and I like it but I am fairly rubbish at it.

Apparently there are loads of secrets that people haven't found yet. I know using the screwdriver on the golden car will take you to a secret area.

Yeah, I know that one. Not that I can get there with a screwdriver. I have the worst luck whenever I get one.

I opened a portal and got a crown.

I'm enjoying playing this a lot even though I'm not that great at it.

I've found that it plays much better on the vita, much like playing OlliOlli, he stubby little vita thumb sticks make the game feel really snappy and fun to play. I've found that the game stutters and slows down a lot though on the vita.

I tried playing on the PS4, and I just can't seem to get used to playing on the ps4 controller, the longer thumb sticks and the longer throw on the triggers just made it feel a little clumsy (just like playing OlliOlli on the ps4!)

I'm so far enjoying playing as "Melting" the most, although I've got furthest as the guy with all the eyes.

Shame that the co-op is local only.

Maybe I'm not used to the Vita nubs but I'm loads more accurate with the DS4.

Ive got to level 5-3 a few times now but it's just too hectic when the boss comes. Doesn't help that I blew myself up as well. I like the explosive weapons but it doesn't take much for shit to go wrong.

I'm also trying to find the secrets. I did the car one, and there are Trophies tied to doing something in 2-1 with eyes and 4-1 with Crystal. I dunno if that's a guide but I suppose if it's anything like the car secret it may be the sort of thing I wouldn't ever of thought of.

Finally unlocked Young Venuz. Pop pop!

I'm still better with Crystal though, the shield comes in very handy. I like Melting but the low health is a real downer.

the low health is a risky, but you can rip through levels by exploding dead things.

taking out those grubs is so much easier as melting and you get a great chain reaction of explosions!

I find that if I play a few rounds with melting I also get very good at dodging, so when I have a run with "eyes", who can push bullets out of the way, it seems to be like playing on easy mode!

tried to play co-op over share play last night, but it was a little bit janky :|
