Buying a Gaming PC

I mean you're not going to get your money's worth if that's what you mean, the Asus card will be a bit better. But a 'bit better' in this context means that it will run 5 degrees cooler (which is good, but still).

But anyway that thing will sell out soon so I guess make your mind up if you want to be on a waiting list or spend £300 to get something in the next fortnight or whatever

I'll offer a counter suggestion and say gaming laptops will be disappointing. They overheat very easily as they often aren't thermally equipped for high spec gaming.

As much hassle as PC gaming is laptops can be very limiting.

But it all depends on needs. I got rid of a PC once cause I was moving around London constantly and it just wasn't suitable at the time. Like if that's a big factor then a laptop is a better choice.

But also I know someone who had to keep quitting FFXIV during the summer cause the heatwave made the framerate so bad. Which seems annoying and not a problem I had on desktop
