This out in June 2016

If this isn't a PSVR launch title, someone at Sony needs firing.

From this can we derive that PSVR will be a lovely neat bundle available with no man's sky in June next year?

UPDATE 4.45pm: There's a $150 (£105) special edition version of No Man's Sky, dubbed the Explorer's Edition, which includes a model spaceship.

Just 10,000 will be available. Each set also includes a badge and an exclusive item to be revealed at the game's release. Mysterious.
This edition is available for pre-order now via IAm8bit.co.uk with either a Steam or GOG key for No Man's Sky's PC version included.

I read a preview at Giant Bomb, characterises it as a survival/crafting game at it's core. You know the score: gather resources to build upgrades so you can survive to gather more resources to build better upgrades. So far, so fucking boring. But unlike a lot of survivalcraft games, this does have an aim.

The action side sounds a bit more appealing though, and having an over-arching law enforcement presence to evade, and this was the first time I'd heard about there being alien races and NPCs to interact with. The idea of having to find clues about their language to be able to communicate could be interesting too.

It mentions that Hello Games say they're working with a writer to flesh out a story to contextualise all the stuff going on, which is good because I like having some kind of narrative. It's also kind of bad because it implies that they made the game first and are tacking the story on afterwards.

I still hope it's good, but equally still worry it's going to be boring.

I read a similar preview in PC Gamer mag, it definitely sounded more interesting that initially thought and has peeked my interest a tad more, the exploration aspect and sense of wonder could theoretically keep me interested for quite a few hours, but I just don't know.

I'll wait for the reviews on this one (and any feedback from you guys who get it) but I've so much to get on with and the Division dropping on my doorstep on Tuesday, my game time is limited.

Kind of hilarious really, I heard years back that Skype might have to change their name for the same reason, I guess common sense prevailed in both cases.

Wondered what you were on about for a second there @mr lakitu then my brain clicked into gear and realised you meant to calendar entry.

Now been updated to the 10th :) and added a new calendar entry for the PC release 2 days later as well, still shows as the 9th on the home page but it shows as the 10th in the calendar itself.

Never really had the love for it many others have had either, it looked cool when we first saw it centuries ago, sure, but since time went on I got less and less interested.

It just seems like a more colourful Elite: Dangerous without as much stuff to do, and seeing as I didn't really get on with that I can't see me getting on with this, I may get it in a sale at the end of the year but it was never a Day-1er for me.
