Jimboxy Posted February 2, 2013 Posted February 2, 2013 Either I'm blind or at least 3 of you are lazy bastards. So, it's Hitman through and through and I'm happy not to have found the criticisms accurate at all. The amount of content and replayability is thrown into your face immediately and the controls are introduced in a fine way. The levels so far have been varied and each one looks real pretty. Even when there's 100's of people walking around. I was concerned the pedestrians would resemble a Fifa crowd (100 of them blow their nose, then the other 100 all bend down and tie their laces) but they're mostly unique as far as I can tell. The music is great, as Hitman's usually are and the cinematics are nice to look at. So I really like it.. Oh and there's a lot of Easter Eggs.
dante76 Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Cracked this open last night, and it really took a lot of getting used too. Agent 47 seems to have become as wrinkly as a prune. It also seems a bit easy tbh. I'm playing through on professional and even then, there are enough hints in the challenges to essentially say how to complete the level. It looks great though.
dante76 Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 So I'm up to infiltrating a factory at the moment, lvl 11 I think. I've been doing suit only with unseen on hard play-through which adds a nice challenge. I've killed people with electrocution, food poisoning, and chandeliers, all of which are little 'accidents'. I've had a few seeing through walls instance though, which can get infuriating.
Jimboxy Posted February 12, 2013 Author Posted February 12, 2013 The first annoying ai part I've seen is throwing a butchers knife. Even behind someone they turn around and go HUH!!!???!!!? So unless they're alone you're screwed. Luckily we were. In a corn field. Fuck you nuns! Bam!
Hendo Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Started this earlier. I've only played the 2nd one before and really liked it in theory but in practice I found it a bit too tough and too open-ended for me to enjoy it, so if they've streamlined this one then I can enjoy it. I've only got as far the first real mission, in Chinatown, but I've enjoyed being sneaky and taking out people with a wire round their throat.
HandsomeDead Posted May 8, 2013 Posted May 8, 2013 I don't like this game. It took me a while to figure out the problem but it is because of the lack of a map. I played Silent Assassin and Blood Money a whole lot and what I liked was bringing up that map, watching all the guys patrol as moving dots and planning what to do and where to go for twenty minutes. The fun was pulling that plan off without a hitch. But you just can't do that here. You have this 'instinct' thing that lets you see enemy routes but only for those immediately around you so you have to plan little by little. Since you can't see the entire map you have to go places to check them yourself and that just leads to getting caught by someone, or just feeling stupid wandering around like an old man with dementia. And the whole dressing up thing is weird. If you dress up as a guard then other guards get suspicious of you so you're still sneaking around in a disguise. You used to get the disguises to blend in but you can't do that now and it's just counter productive You spend a whole lot of time sneaking around Sam Fisher style and I'm not here for that, personally. I want to stand in clear view figuring stuff out. I just don't get it.
