Been playing this for a bit. Playing using the same 3 characters as the Giant Bomb video - the knight, twins and monk.

I'm not sure as the usefulness of the twins as yet but the knight's shield is good and the monk's telekinesis seems invaluable.

I'm not convinced with the control feel - it just feels a bit sticky, a bit too heavy.

It looks fantastic and it's Ron Gilbert and Double Fine so the writing is top notch.

The trial is pretty short, then I unlocked the full game and got some kind of almost game-breaking bug where the camera wouldn't follow my character but I also couldn't change my character. I'm not sure how I got out of it but I ended up saving and quitting a few times.

I'm currently stuck on a puzzle that is most likely staring me in the face but I have a minecart to deliver and no sign of what should go in it.

Same problem as DmC! I thought digital distribution was meant to be the future? It can go kick itself in the balls if this continues.

Steam says the release date is 23rd January. Why is it 23rd January at SEVEN O'CLOCK in the evening?? It's so arbitrary, I just can't make any sense of it. When I pre-ordered Hitman digitally, it was literally 1 min past midnight and I was downloading and playing within the hour. What the hell happened since then?

Patience is not my strong suit.

Exactly the same thing happened to me. I ended up having to start a new game.

I went for the Knight, Twins, and Adventurer. I watched the Giant Bomb video and using the Monk seemed to make the first section of the game very easy. I can confirm it was slightly trickier without him. I'm on the mine cart section now as well. I thought that this must be the Adventurer's section, but as you are on it as well it can't be. Loving it so far.

Steam finally decided it was time to release even though there were still 10 hours on the clock. Nevermind.

This is brilliant. I'm so glad that Ron Gilbert is still able to knock out these cracking adventure/puzzle games.

It feels like a classic point and click, without the pointing and clicking. Loving the style of both the graphics and audio, would've quite liked some subtle background music though. The Cave's voice reminds me of John de Lancie's work on Quantum Conundrum a bit, which is cool. The art style from the Cave Paintings is excellent and very familiar, just can't put my finger on where I've seen it before.

I went with the Time Traveller, Twins and Adventurer to start with. I liked the look of the first two characters powers and the latter was just a random choice.

I got as far as the island - much more to go, Ed?

This seems to have had a bit of backlash to it and while I wouldn't quite agree, it has been a little bit disappointing.

You're nearing the end now, Hendo. I agree, it definitely doesn't deserve the backlashing I've been seeing, but it wasn't quite as great as I'd hoped it would be.

To see all the endings means another two playthroughs. The knight, adventurer and twins levels were all great and I'd love to see the others as they're the best bit of the game. I'm not sure I'll be playing it again any time soon, but will probably go through it again at some point. It's a shame you can't skip the non character-specific stages. I missed one of the storyboard pictures for one of my dudes, but got all the rest. One of the later puzzles could possibly be skipped all together if you carry an item from earlier in the game all the way through to it.

Overall I enjoyed it a lot, and it was pretty much the perfect length for a game of this type. It was cool to see Chris Remo in the credits.

Thought it was quite good, went for the time traveller, adventurer and twins.

I'm gonna wait for a price drop though.
