Hendo
I'm playing on university radio tonight and have been tasked with setting up my laptop to record it - my laptop at home, me in the uni studio. So I set it off before I leave and hopefully it records the live stream all that time. Before I spend 20 quid on this program that might work (the free trial goes ok), has anyone got any good recommendations for software, or even better, would anyone be able to record it for me, between 6 and 8 tonight? spatular
sorry probably can't help with the recording but what frequency is it on/how can we listen?
Hendo
Have bought the software and will be leaving it on, off out in a sec. It's here - http://www.calonfm.com/105fm/ I think it's the 6pm show Best Fest but not really sure, I know we're getting there for about 5.

Hendo
It went alright, not bad considering it was a proper ramshackle affair of 3 mics (the kind you see people use on radio, as opposed to radio mics F1 style) to pick up everything. We had drums in the outside corridor, and 5 of us cramped in the studio. Because of that, the sound on the instruments isn't great and is a little muted but the vocals came through well. I used that software I paid for and it did a good job, then used Audacity to edit it down and try to clean up the EQ. I doubt you'd have been able to tune into it with a normal radio outside Wrexham, or did the stream not work, spatular? It's only a local thing. There's the 6 tracks we did on the soundcloud site but here's my favourites: <iframe width="100%" height="166" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" src="http://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F38931800&show_artwork=true"></iframe> <iframe width="100%" height="166" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" src="http://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F38932101&show_artwork=true"></iframe> If you can hear a plinky plonky sound, that's me on the uke.
