Sly Reflex
That was pretty interesting. The whole AI thing is something I like to watch. I remember in Oblivion that if you interrupted someone who was walking between towns that if you ate into the buffer times they would do when they had completed their journeys (often sit in an inn drinking before going to sleep), they would do stuff out of the ordinary. By that I mean they would deviate from their path to catch up. There was one guy that used water walking on himself. Another one took a short cut straight off a mountain and killed himself. My favourite one was a NPC that couldn't be killed. I'd knock him out, drag him to where there were mobs, he'd get up and start fighting them, often getting knocked out, but instead of attacking me after he was down they would just keep hitting his unconscious body. I think eventually I dragged his body to the Imperial Lake where I drowned him a few hundred times before he glitched out of the map near Black Marsh. DANGERMAN
yeah I enjoyed it. Understandable I guess but it felt a bit shallow, I felt like every topic they covered could have been expanded on with more examples
Sly Reflex
It was obviously aimed at people that don't play, but at least it wasn't a load of crazy old bollocks.
halfagogo
had a listen, a bit watery but at least they have done it. i suppose it would be a simialr situation if say films had for some reason never had proper recognition as a media/artform and you now had to sell the entire film inustry to non believers - how would you cover indie, porn, mainstream/big budget/world cinema/b-movies/action etc all in 1 go? interviewing writers, producers & directors wouldnt really entice you, it cant really be done en masse, except to say, just watch it! same with games - just play them, you may like it may love it! millions of others do.
