DANGERMAN Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 Sony will now only be selling digital games through PSN (i.e. not to stores or online retailers who might sell them cheaper Sony has confirmed its plan to stop giving shops full game download codes to sell. It means digital games will soon only be available from PlayStation Network. A memo to GameStop staff over the weekend revealed Sony would no longer give retailers full game download codes from 1st April.
DisturbedSwan Posted March 26, 2019 Posted March 26, 2019 Bit of a weird one that. I’ve only ever bought PSN codes though, the full game codes online are often just as expensive as PSN.
Hendo Posted March 27, 2019 Posted March 27, 2019 Oh, The Surge I'm happy about. Keep wanting to try that.
DANGERMAN Posted March 30, 2019 Posted March 30, 2019 Bad guy Sony again Quote The servers for Driveclub, Driveclub VR and Driveclub Bikes all go dark on March 31, 2020. Before then, Aug. 31, 2019, the games and all of their DLC will be delisted from the PlayStation Network Store. After all this goes down, only the single-player modes will be playable. For a game predicated so much on multiplayer interaction, that ain’t much. And of course, all the social components are no more, too.
Rikzilla Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 I’ve heard nothing but awful things about The Surge. Then again I heard nothing but awful things about Lords of the Fallen and really enjoyed it so I doubt The Surge is as bad as I’ve heard. Either way, I’m glad it’s free. It’s on the list of Souls-like games we have to play on the new channel (youtube.com/crushedsouls don’t forget to subscribe) so I was going to be picking it up regardless so now I get to save a few quid AND put Mark through hell. Happy days.
mfnick Posted March 31, 2019 Posted March 31, 2019 Absolutely gutted about the Driveclub news. It is honestly one of my favourite games of this gen as well as one of my favourite driving games of all time and the leaderboard integration was part of the reason for that. The DLC for it was fantastic too, unlike most racing games which just give you extra cars with nothing else to do with them if you’ve played through the game this would give you extra cars and more events to complete using only the dlc cars. It was really well thought out and they were pretty cheap for what they were. Im not far off a platinum in it, and almost 100%d the dlcs, will have to get it done before this happens. Really shitty news. Wouldn’t mind quite so much if we were part of the way into next gen. This seems far too soon IMO.
Sly Reflex Posted April 1, 2019 Author Posted April 1, 2019 I am deeply sorry for your first world problem.
Bob Posted April 1, 2019 Posted April 1, 2019 It does the same with Overwatch as well. Even smaller patches below 1gig will take forever to copy. I thought maybe it was because of the external HDD bit it does no matter where it is. I think it does it with Ghost Recon as well so maybe it's something with online games. Annoying anyway.
Sly Reflex Posted April 1, 2019 Author Posted April 1, 2019 You must have stopped counting at some point because I've complained about it way more than that.
Hendo Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 List of games with problems, here. https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/get-help/help-library/my-account/access-and-details/change-online-id-games/ Looks like some minor issues with two Souls games and Bloodborne but nothing too bad for me to try changing mine. Isn't up just yet.
AndyKurosaki Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 I’m not bothering with it. Not when there’s a chance of losing save files, trophy progress,or access to dlc. Totally not worth it.
