Days Gone did well but I think Sony were a bit high on their own farts and weren't willing to green light sequels cause of its metascore or something

Yeah, it was quite a bit lower than their other first party games at the time... shame.

I really enjoyed The Order too. Bit simple, but as sequel could have really improved it. Probably would have come out near Bloodborne and benefitted from the goth vibe 

 

Also The Puppeteer was great, that could have done with a PS4 port given it came out at the end of the PS3

 

And I'd like another infamous game. That might be one a remake would help as the 1st game had good ideas, just ran kind of badly 

 

Oh, Concrete Genie was ok, but it didn't need a sequel. It looked nice but it was a one and done

Yeah, the rumour was this week, and Cerny isn't coming out for whatever else they've got this year 

 

Wonder if they will announce some games at the same time? You'd hope they'd at least reveal some stuff that's getting a boost

Don't think I ever got around to playing it, even though the gothic horror vibe was something that really appealed - esp. it sounded in many ways like it could have instead been a reboot of the PS1 Nightmare Creatures games...... (sadly I don't think they'll ever happen).

I remember it being more like Gears of War than anything else... but then again I've not played Nightmare Creatures.

The presentation is meant to be 9mins total which is an insanely short amount of time to show and tell.
 

I wonder if they pick one specific 1st party game to show off new features like RT and frame gen, then put up a bunch of logos of games that will have Pro support this year 

 

I’m not expecting to be “sold” on it tomorrow. There isn’t enough time to show all the things I want to see.

 

I think tomorrow really will just be a basic overview of new tech features

I expect something about resolution reconstruction, like DLSS/FSR type stuff

 

Frame gen seems sort of rubbish on consoles tho as you need an already good framerate to offset the input lag before you double it. 

 

I question if there'll be much RT gains. If there is tho, then Cyberpunk could offer a compelling demo. While sounding elitist, and it is, it's a very different looking game with the heavier RT settings on PC (not even getting into PT, just RT is enough). It's also the type of game where the lighting does make a compelling impression and IMO improves the experience

They’re supposed to have their version of DLSS which is called PSSR. I expect that’ll be a big talking point tomorrow
