Jimboxy Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_ten-dollar_bill#Nicknames Ah, didn't realise it was a Yankee doodle reference.
Sly Reflex Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 $10 bill has Hamilton on it. EDIT: I must read all the thread before commenting.
DANGERMAN Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 there's another humble bundle for android and pc/mac out https://www.humblebundle.com/ Fieldrunners BIT.TRIP BEAT SpaceChem * (needs a resolution of 1200 x 800) Uplink * (tablets only... well ish, it runs on my S3 but it really needs a bigger screen) Spirits (if you pay more than the average) obviously if you dont have an android they work on pc/steam with most of them (all I think) having steam keys
Cyberpunk Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Gonna skip this one as I have Bit Trip, Space Chem, and Uplink on my Steam account.
DANGERMAN Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 I've got Bit Trip and Space Chem, although I've not played the latter. It was worth the ÂŁ3.40 to get bit trip on my phone, and Spirits seems pretty decent so far (kind of like an ethereal Lemmings). I do think the first android one was better though
Cyberpunk Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Yeah. I got the last two Android Humble Bundles, and there was some very good games in them. Did you get the one woth Smuggle Truck Ben? I noticed the update on Steam has changed it to Snuggle Truck only now.
DANGERMAN Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 no I missed the 2nd one. I got the one with Osmos and Anomaly Warzone, both of which are pretty good (especially the latter) wait, it was called Smuggle Truck Ben?
DANGERMAN Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 there's a new humble bundle up, this one includes Rochard Shatter S.P.A.Z Torchlight Vessel + Soundtracks & Dustforce if you pay above the average. I've played Shatter on the ps3, it's brilliant, one of the best games on psn so this is worth it for that alone. Torchlight is Torchlight, and I played a fair few hours of Vessel over the past couple of days, it's good, a bit obtuse at times but worth playing
Cyberpunk Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 there's a new humble bundle up, this one includes Rochard Shatter S.P.A.Z Torchlight Vessel + Soundtracks & Dustforce if you pay above the average. Torchlight is Torchlight, and I played a fair few hours of Vessel over the past couple of days, it's good, a bit obtuse at times but worth playing I would also add that S.P.A.Z. (Space Pirates and Zombies) is a bloody excellent game. Also, Torchlight on it's own is currently on Steam for ÂŁ12.99, so this pack could be a good bargain.
DANGERMAN Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 there's a new android bundle out Crayon Physics DeluxeEufloria Splice Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP Waking Mars and.... Machinarium if you beat the min price. Cross-platform All games in this Humble Bundle are compatible with Android, Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.
retroed Posted November 29, 2012 Author Posted November 29, 2012 THQ humble bundle. WTF? https://www.humblebundle.com
DANGERMAN Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 they are going to take so much shit for that, it's not really in the spirit of their site is it? But you can get Saints Row 3 cheap so it'll do well
Craymen Edge Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 It's weird as hell given the history of the site, but that is an amazing bundle. I have SR3 and Darksiders already, but the other three are very tempting.
DANGERMAN Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 others have pointed out that THQ might be getting a pass with it (HumbleBundle might have agreed to it) because they're really in the shit at the minute. It's a good way for them to bring in some money quickly
Craymen Edge Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 others have pointed out that THQ might be getting a pass with it (HumbleBundle might have agreed to it) because they're really in the shit at the minute. It's a good way for them to bring in some money quickly Seems to be doing ok so far: $1,062,693.25 (and rising) with 13 days left The guy behind Humble Bundle spoke to Ars Technica, saying it's an experiment to see if they can apply the same pay what you want & charity split pricing structure to AAA games. THQ's current financial troubles probably made them the most amenable to make this kind of deal right now. I imagine a more stable publisher would probably have just told them to get lost.
Cyberpunk Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 I just picked it up. As you know, I buy most of the Humble Bundles, but this one was really nice. It's currently $1,898,727.00, so it's doing ok. I didn't beat the average as I already have Saints Row the Third on Steam My only gripe is I already have Medal of Honor, and this bundle comes as a pack, so I can't pass along my spare copy.
Jimboxy Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 I bought it for my house secret santa. Payed $10 which is more than I normally would. Gave most of it to Child's Play.
retroed Posted December 19, 2012 Author Posted December 19, 2012 New bundle is up. http://www.humblebundle.com/ The Binding of Isaac (and its DLC, Wrath of the Lamb), Closure, Shank 2, Snapshot, and Indie Game: The Movie! And if you pay over the average, you’ll also get Dungeon Defenders (and its DLC) and Legend of Grimrock! To top it all off, you also get a handful of awesome soundtracks in lossless (FLAC) and MP3 formats!
