Yeah I didn't have an active sub. I activated the 3 years of core first, then activated the 1 month of Ultimate which then gave me the option to convert the core at 3:2 ratio, giving me 2 years (plus the month I'd paid for)

I just bit the bullet and bought 18 months of Ultimate (6x3 months) for £137.94... fuck it I'm good till November 2026 now.😂

I let mine lapse and did the stack trick last week with CD Keys codes. Had to pay £15 on top to upgrade to Ultimate, but I got 2 years for £100-ish overall

It's quite cool that in the time I have it for now I'll probably be able to add 2 or 3 months on just by playing games and earning points on the actual console.

Don't quote me on this but if you're a member any cheap way of stacking core will only work 3.1 then...

 

Easiest way is to find cheap Ultimate codes and stack up to three years in that case... I think. @Maf

Just saw that Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition is on sale for 4 bucks. Maybe a good entry fee if the sequel caught your interest.

Dungeons of Hinterberg is currently on sale for under 15 bucks. It's also on Gamepass, but maybe a good pickup if you want to 'own' it instead.

 

Edit: And Mass Effect: Andromeda for 2 bucks. I'd say that's well worth it.

Saw a pretty decent buy-1-get-2 sale on Xbox the other day. It's actually not just roguelikes and shovelware this time around.

 

Can't find it on xbox.com, but it's right there when you open the store on the console.

Could technically copy-paste my last post as they have one of those 3-for-1 sales again on Xbox. Had a quick glance over the list, quite a bit of shovelware, some modern classics like Limbo and Telltale's Walking Dead and a couple of more recent, well-reviewed indies.

For the first time ever I'm going to make use of Xbox's free play days over the weekend and try Battlefield 6. Was interested because it was received really well

Quite a decent indie sale going on in the Xbox store at the moment, with Banner of the Maid and Flintlock for about 5 and 10 bucks respectively, among many others.

 

One I'd like to point out in particular is Masquerada, which I played ages ago but forgot about because nobody ever talked about it. It's a classic isometric RPG with arguably slightly messy combat, but a rather interesting 'Magic Renaissance'-type setting as well as some exemplary strong writing (especially the codes entries) and voice acting that's worth it alone I think.
