Stopped playing single player and joined DC's game of Rush, although I got put on the opposite team.

I really wish I hadn't because we got royally raped. None of my team mates seemed to know what to do and the other team were blowing shit up in helicopters, sniping like ninjas and generally destroying us. I just gave up.

Not a great start.

I know I killed you once and you disappeared by the end of the game, that team was useless, they were aimlessly running around and there was one point I was a gunner on a light tank and they were running out into the open all the time getting shot to pieces by me or my driver, I came out of it with tons of points, about 2000 must of been in the tank alone. I think there must of been a couple of guys spotting them too because it was just a case of shooting the red triangles most of the time.

CoD players, eh. Those clueless CoD players. *tut*

When I finally got a game tonight it went really well. Topped the leaderboards 3 or 4 times. :)

i'm surprised how much i've been enjoying this, rush mode seems much better than the other one. not seen any lag either but have been booted out of a few games because of the servers going down or something. the unlocking stuff is still well annoying though, it's really slow going too (maybe just due to my crapness).

I'll have you know I could hold my own on the demo of this and I've ploughed tons of hours into 1943 and can hold my own on that too.

I don't know what my team were doing or if we were under-staffed, but I'd spawn and die within 5 seconds and the bases would last about a minute before they went down (when we were defending).

I've been thoroughly enjoying the multi on this, i can actually get about an even number of kills to deaths which never happens in mw2, i just get my arse kicked in that one. Plus I love conquest mode, so much fun

I might have to try Conquest - isn't that the same as 1943? Where there's so many bases to hold down?

I'm having a slightly better time of it, but it's still depressing just getting my arse handed to me. Joined DC yet again earlier and this time we were on the same team and actually did alright for a while. Soon went pear-shaped though.

Still haven't made it to rank 2!

Pfft! Noobs! I'm up to about 7 now. ;)

OK, tip time for you people who are having a hard time.

If you can, go and claim your veteran status so you have some better weapons to start the game with, because that assault rifle and sniper rifle are utter baws. Go HERE, register and link your gamertags and claim those weapons if you are eligible. I know pickled and DC are eligible, but Hendo might not be, worth a try though.

Swap kits with someone who has died, chances are if someone has been playing longer than you they have a better kit than you. Doesn't matter if it isn't a kit you want' because each point you earn carrying that kit will boost your own kit. If you see a medic get killed and you don't have paddles to revive him, kill the threat then take his kit and revive him with it. If you can talk to the person you just revived, tell him what kit he now has.

Use vehicles as a team. Tanks might have the power to level whole buildings, but a good team will take them apart if they don't have a team filling at least the drivers and gunner seat. As a gunner, watch for people sneaking up behind and the sides unless you know you have people watching you and spam the 'back' button to light up any targets. If you are near a vehicle been commandeered by your team, make sure you keep it well repaired if you are able to, and use it as movable cover when the opportunity sees so. It is often the case that a well looked after tank will cause a big enough distraction to take out crates while the enemy is engaged in repelling them.

Each class has equipment that you should be constantly using. Throw down ammo and heals for your team whenever you get grouped together, heal vehicles whenever you pass a working one and throw you proximity grenades into areas that are easy to hide in to light up the enemy. Everything you do like this will help the rest of your team, and if you are helping you are getting points, which makes your life easier in the long run.

Right, I bought the limited edition with those extra weapons and stuff, but all I got inside the case was the 10 Dollar Project code which I put in when I booted the game up. If it hasn't downloaded anything automatically through there, then I haven't got it. I had a quick look in the store and it just seemed to have videos in there.

I tried that site and only Battlefield Heroes is lit up for me, because I registered for it ages ago. There's nowhere for me to link up my game - in the drop-down box I can select Bad Company 2 but it does fuck all.

I'm quite enjoying this, I'll be lynched for saying it but it's very MW (except with destruction rather than cover). Quite likable tho, more so than MW imo. It does have the same stupid habit of giving you control only to take it off you again when you've walked 100yards.

Dont know if this is just the style, or if it's a ps3 perversity, but there's a weird filter on the cutscenes, almost makes it look like its been painted. Makes me think maybe its video rather than in game graphics (looks really good elsewhere tho

It's a grain filter added to give the impression of someone filming in a warzone with substandard equipment. I quite like it, although sometimes the smoke looks like it has way too much 'noise' on it. Saying that, they made the tanks turrets and helicopter turret a lot clearer in BC2, it was so grainy and couple with the B&W image it could be hard to pick out friendlies and enemies.

thanks for the tips. i'm getting slaughtered on this but odly still enjoying it, i was getting loads of points reviving everyone, we were pinned down and dying like it was going out of fashion. the tactics are quite different from what i'm used to, mainly because of the destructable buildings (when you're being panned there's nowhere to hide) and respawn on squad thing, we had quite a few times tonight where a squad would be hidden in the bushes near our base, and stay hidden there, killing us as we spawned (better knowledge of the maps would have helped here) and if we killed one of them they'd just spawn back at that spot. also i don't know what half the equipment i've unlocked does and i haven't unlocked most of it yet.

started this sunday evening, quality stuff. havent touched the sp yet, no immediate plans to either! question for sly here, i think hes the furthest along. why havent i unlocked any specialisations for slot 2? im level 7 or 8 and ive unlocked quite a few perks but nothing yet that goes in slot 2, from looking at the weapons n gadgets menus there doesnt seem to be a right lot left to even warrant a slot 2 :S
