hinn888 Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Been watching alot of this with a friend, this is his most anticipated game, its been delayed so many times its ridiculous! It does look very good and very atmospheric, i wont be getting it tho, even tho i love psychological stuff, its still a horror game.
DANGERMAN Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 I havent watched the video so i dont know if they covered this, but do yuo think Alan's name being A.Wake is going to end up being important? Like maybe he's dreaming the whole thing
hinn888 Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Never thought of that The story is hes an authour and his book is coming to life. like its awakening or something?
Hendo Posted February 25, 2010 Author Posted February 25, 2010 No, the guy just rips over the fact that the hero is called Alan. I hope it's not that obvious an ending.
Jimboxy Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 I hope it's not that obvious an ending. i kinda hope it is...
retroed Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Alan Wake is being released a week earlier than previously thought. It will be released May 14th, according to Eurogamer Garnett Lee got me pretty hyped for this on the latest Weekend Confirmed. I'd forgotten about it, but am now tempted to get the LE from Gameplay. It's only £2 more than the standard edition.
TopGunKnacker Posted April 25, 2010 Posted April 25, 2010 that presenter is a pillock. i suppose they shouldve called him Dynamite Fightington seeing as he's the 'hero'
retroed Posted May 4, 2010 Posted May 4, 2010 Eurogamer 7/10 (no text yet) Embargo is up in the morning, apparently. Odd that the score is there, maybe a placeholder? Bit odd.
retroed Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 Eurogamer text is up now. 7/10. Typical comments on the review are entertaining as always. Girls can't review games apparently, and 7/10 is a bad score. Also, NowGamer have given it a 6.8/10
Hendo Posted May 5, 2010 Author Posted May 5, 2010 Typical comments on the review are entertaining as always. Girls can't review games apparently, and 7/10 is a bad score. Oh dear Mind you, my first thought was that it was a bit odd with Ellie reviewing it, she's most associated with more casual games. It is mind blowing how many people seem to jump on a score of 7/10 as a failure of a game. It's not even average for fook's sake.
David Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 It does read more like a 6 to me, although the other reviews the game is getting fill me with a bit more confidence. And fuck all those comments earlier on, Ellie Gibson is an excellent reviewer. Who the fuck cares if she mostly does casual games? How in anyway does it affect her appraisal of this?
