Hendo Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 linky Capcom plans to release Super Street Fighter IV next spring on PS3 and Xbox 360.The game, leaked yesterday, will be standalone and launch at a budget price. That's according to GameSpot's information from the Tokyo Game Show, although exactly how much we'll pay is still up for grabs. Aside from adding new characters - three of which will definitely be T Hawk, Juri and Dee Jay - Capcom is taking the chance to rebalance the existing roster based on your feedback. Part of that process involves adding an extra Ultra combo to each fighter. The online area of the game will also be brushed up, with rumours of a lobby doing the rounds. Because of all these enhancements, however, SFIV and Super SFIV will not be compatible online - but there will be some sort of bonus offered to owners of both. <embed id="mymovie" width="432" height="362" flashvars="playerMode=embedded&movieAspect=4.3&flavor=EmbeddedPlayerVersion&skin=http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/cne_flash/production/media_player/proteus/one/skins/gamespot.png¶msURI=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gamespot.com%2Fpages%2Fvideo_player%2Fxml.php%3Fid%3D6230546%26mode%3Dembedded%26width%3D432%26height%3D362" wmode="transparent" allowscriptaccess="always" quality="high" name="mymovie" style="" src="http://image.com.com/gamespot/images/cne_flash/production/media_player/proteus/one/proteus2.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"/>
DANGERMAN Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Budget price though, got to give them credit for that. Personally I couldnt give two shits about the rumoured new characters, my regulars were already in, but the tweaks to gameplay mean I'll probably buy it
Sambob Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 At first i was like 'uhh what?' but i guess fighting games are fighting games really arent they, you can tecnhically argue that once youve played one youve played them all. In theory they could just re release the same game over and over, each time tweaking gameplay or the roster....well i guess we will find out
TopGunKnacker Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 you can tecnhically argue that once youve played one youve played them all. youd technically get told to stfu lol id rather current sf4 owners could download this update but ill definitely be buying!
hinn888 Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 That really sucks, sure they could of just updated it. Knowing me i be tempted to pick it up, but then people i play against would which just makes it more difficult.
hinn888 Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Apparently theres 8 new characters, T- Hawk , Dee Jay and Juri are 3 of them, plus coz its a new retail release theres another 1000G to get.
DANGERMAN Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 plus coz its a new retail release theres another 1000G to get. Wik, that's me sold
Sly Reflex Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Choo choo! All aboard the arse rape train.
David Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Super Street Fighter IV Remix next then? Does this mean in 15 years we get Super Street Fighter IV Ultra Ultra HD Remix on the PS6 and Xbox 189585865858?
hinn888 Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Cant watch the video atm, what kind of uni doesnt have flash player installed?! "apparently theres a special feature for those sf4 players who keep their original copy " I wonder what that is.
TopGunKnacker Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 "apparently theres a special feature for those sf4 players who keep their original copy " I wonder what that is. interesting, i wonder too. probably something like a free theme. Juri does look interesting, shes very SNK, like C.Viper.
hinn888 Posted October 4, 2009 Posted October 4, 2009 New artwork, seems like theyve added a bit extra in each one
hinn888 Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 Worried that Capcom may just rehash the same Street Fighter IV from this year with new characters and call it Super Street Fighter IV? Admittedly, we were. Thankfully, that's not the case, or so it seems.Capcom's Community Manager, Seth Killian, has posted a new video on the Capcom Unity blog showing off 4 new game modes. The new game modes include: * Team Battle. Team up with your friends (or strangers) to take on all-comers in 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 formats, and more! * Replay Channel. Record, watch, and save matches, or watch how everyone else is playing on one of a variety of streaming match "channels." * Endless Battle. Play in arcade-style "winner stays, loser to the back of the line" lobbies. * Bonus Stages. Crush the car and smash the downpour of barrels in a test of skill against the clock. As usual, actions speak louder than words, so check out the latest video below showing off all these modes. Glad theyre adding quite a bit
TopGunKnacker Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 just the extra characters and moves made this a must have for me, these awesome new modes are just icing on an already well-iced cake
hinn888 Posted November 8, 2009 Posted November 8, 2009 exactly the same way i thought, well may not in an iced cake way but this is a definite buy for me, Looking forward to seeing who the other 5 are.
