TopGunKnacker Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 well my dvd drive on my 360 is broken! doesnt recognise discs anymore! so i guess ill be sending it off to MS again, thatll be twice in 3 months or less! FUCKING CUNT BASTARDS
DANGERMAN Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 unlucky. Weird innit, no one had any problems for ages but a few have gone down recently
pickled Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 what a bunch of arse nearly everyone i know has had their 360 break down at least once nearly a 100% FAIL rate not good
TopGunKnacker Posted January 23, 2009 Author Posted January 23, 2009 yeah, its mental. thing is, it seems to be reading discs again although it didnt read like 10 different games this morning.. i dont know whether to bother ringing MS or not. i just wish the 360 wasnt so shoddy in the first place!
RivaOni Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 How's your 360 stood? vertical or horizontal? I know my disc drive refuses to eject if its upright.
TopGunKnacker Posted January 23, 2009 Author Posted January 23, 2009 ive always had it horizontal, never wanted to take any risks with such a PoS!!
Pikman Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 well my dvd drive on my 360 is broken! doesnt recognise discs anymore! so i guess ill be sending it off to MS again, thatll be twice in 3 months or less! FUCKING CUNT BASTARDS Did you: 1) Have it wrapped in towels? 2) Try wrapping it in towels to fix it? lol, please don't really do that
illdog Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Shit TGK, that blows sasquatch nuts, 360 harware wise really is a fucking peice of shit eh? A mate of mine is on his 5th box.
Jimboxy Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 i wonder if anyone is on there 360th xbox, see what i did there. touch wood mines been okay for a year now. But that also means the extended warranty i got last year will have expired.
stoobie Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 360 harware wise really is a fucking peice of shit eh? Strange cos it looks like the most sturdy out of the three I think. The PS3 looks like it would break if you give it a dirty look.
Jimboxy Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 i'm of the other opinion there really. I think the PS3 looks like a really well made piece of kit, whilst the 360 looks a bit tacky and plastic and cheap.
stoobie Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Yeah but its chunky and solid and heavy - whereas the pS3 is shiny and plasticy and dusty/fingerprinty.
Sambob Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Yeah but its chunky and solid and heavy - whereas the pS3 is shiny and plasticy and dusty/fingerprinty. Nah the PS3 looks lovely and sleek and majestic, the 360 is like the grunt of machines, its literally like a shit old pc tower.
stoobie Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Maybe I am just basking in the newness and loveliness of being an Xbox owner. I am blinded by its hold over me
HandsomeDead Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 PS3 is much sturdier, well made peice of kit. my 360 rattles.
Sly Reflex Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Agreed, the PS3 feels heavy, purposeful and well built. The 360 feels like a cornflake box full of angry bees. The Wii takes the middle ground, its quite well built with some flimsy bits of shit that spoil the overall quality.
TopGunKnacker Posted January 23, 2009 Author Posted January 23, 2009 with some flimsy bits of shit that spoil the overall quality. the games? ohoho! ziiiiiing! agreed on all counts though.
David Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 The 360 is a shockingly bad piece of kit, that's for sure. I mean, my Hard Drive is kinda broken. Sometimes it doesn't download updates, and there's a song on Rock Band 2 (I have it installed that freezes half way though and comes up with a Disc Read Error). I mean, WTF? How can a Hard Drive break like that?
TopGunKnacker Posted January 23, 2009 Author Posted January 23, 2009 cheap materials most likely! the 360 was obviously not built to last.. saying that my cousin has had extraordinarily bad luck with hdds in his pc failing, widely thought of to be good hdds too.
