Still re-importing albums like no-one's business. Notable stuff I'd forgotten about being Jeff Buckley and Black Sabbath. Actually, I was more inspired to dig out Black Sabbath from Brutal Legend's use of "Children of the Grave", a mighty riff.

brought the new KISS *throws up the horns* album last night. Haven't listened to it all, but what i have listened to is pretty good. Sounds like KISS *throws up the horns*. Also comes with Remastered greatest hits and a live DVD.

At this very moment in time i'm listening to M83 which i brought of iTunes (other music services are available) over a year ago and never listened to properly. Its a great album, like a upbeat air. i <3 French electronica.

I was to put something in here, For over a year now I've mostly been rocking out to hard rock mostly because that is how much I rock.

I've slowly been getting fed up of it and while just listening to my iPod on shuffle a Futureheads song came on, not even a song I like that much but it was a of revalation to be honest, I ended up shoving on the whole album and bobbed along to some harmonized indie pop, I forgot how well put together their stuff is. Gonna check them out beyond the first album next me thinks.

Also been listening to Bat for Lashes latest effort, all I have to say is its better than the first.. and she's a nice girl.

I like the second Bat For Lashes album, the first doesn't grab me.

One thing I've been re-discovering with importing all my albums is Django Reinhardt, who I'm sure me and Sly were talking about while playing ODST.

At the age of 18, Reinhardt was injured in a fire that ravaged the caravan he shared with Florine "Bella" Mayer, his first wife. They were very poor, and to supplement their income Bella made imitation flowers out of celluloid and paper. Consequently, their home was full of this highly flammable material. Returning from a performance late one night, Django apparently knocked over a candle on his way to bed. While his family and neighbors were quick to pull him to safety, he received first- and second-degree burns over half his body. His right leg was paralyzed and the third and fourth fingers of his left hand were badly burnt. Doctors believed that he would never play guitar again and intended to amputate one of his legs. Reinhardt refused to have the surgery and left the hospital after a short time; he was able to walk within a year with the aid of a cane.

His brother Joseph Reinhardt, an accomplished guitarist himself, bought Django a new guitar. With painful rehabilitation and practice Django relearned his craft in a completely new way, even as his third and fourth fingers remained partially paralyzed. He played all of his guitar solos with only two fingers, and managed to use the two injured digits only for chord work.

I can't do what he did and I have a fully working hand. :(

The early stuff he did with the full quintet is just brilliant.

I really like Bat For Lashes first album, haven't really got into her new album yet. I've tried listen to it a couple of times but just stick with her first. I'll make more of an effort with it though I think.

I've heard that before... wait a minute... speed it up a bit... alter it a bit and hey presto

Just been listneing to an old-ish Sigur Ros album because I'm a bit down, the one called () but it depressed the shit out of me even more so I turned it off.

I've mostly been listening to Different Class again (no not myself, silly) by Pulp. It was a while ago I last listened to it but as an older and more mature gentleman it seems more relevant to me now. But yeah, its great, but still not as good as His 'n' Hers, which is amaaaaAAAaaazing...

I saw the Futureheads live at Freshers Week a few weeks back. They were pretty good. Might check out their stuff.

Bought a new CD on the weekend, though can't help thinking I would've been better off with a DVD version of it (I assume one exists), it's Later....With Jools Holland Live 2.

Still not put it on yet but looks like it has some brilliant tracks - Wichita Lineman!

i'm currently listening to Ike Turner & the Kings of Rhythm. One of their songs provides the sample for concrete school yard by Jurassic 5, all the other stuff is good to so far. Maybe Tina had it coming...

Graham Coxen's Happiness in Magazines.. not as good as I remember. I'm thinking there is something wrong with me.

But I'm really enjoying Signals by Rush. I've starting thinking my youthful grasp of exciting new music has left me and this is whats left.. :(

yep, saw it posted on another site, but because people can be elitist they didnt post who it was. If people want let people know what theyve been listening to then they need to put names on things imo

I'm trying out the Last FM thing on Live, haven't used the proper one for ages.

The streaming's good, I'm trying out the La Roux station and it's coming out with similar electro-pop. It has pictures of the artists while they play.

Pixie Lott's an interesting looking artist isn't she?
