Just watched the 720p live film that made up the bulk of the download and it's The sound is so clear, works perfectly through my surround, just brilliantly captured. Shame it's only about 50 minutes long, but there's some great performances on there, so much noise!

I've seen him in Manchester Lowry, he was brilliant as expected.

A mate wanted to know if I fancied going to Norway next year to see Iron Maiden! They've added Manchester (and the rest of the UK) to their tour dates but it would've been cool to go to Norway just to watch Iron Maiden. Seems very apt going to a Nordic country.

Bought the limited edition tape from Rocco La Bete of "Sleeping With The Enemy" mainly because there's meant to be only 20 copies made and a mate described it as supporting someone who's given me more entertainment than most major artists.

just got back from Godspeed, they were absolutely amazing.

The support was a bit odd, I'm fairly sure the guy was working as the roadie. One guy stood on stage playing 10 minute multi-layered guitar intrumentals isn't for everyone, and my mate hated it, I liked it though, it was a bit of a mess but the riffs were pretty good.

GSYBE really were brilliant though, even the tallest man in the world standing directly in front of me for the first couple of songs didnt ruin it. It's nice he could spare the time away from his beanstalk, but a quick glance behind to make sure he's not stood directly in front of someone isn't too much to ask. I hope his goose goes barren tbh.

The 2 new tracks were both good too. The first one, probably the heaviest song they done, really stood out. It was thumping, grinding guitars, works brilliantly live, although the show was largely free of samples so it might sound a bit different on record.

The second one was a bit more traditional, and a bit more ambient. I think it'll work really well in the studio, and it was great live. But it was less immediate and too unfamiliar to form as much of an impression as the first one.

...Trail of dead (with Rival Schools) and Explosions in the Sky are touring next year, think I'm going to order the tickets tomorrow

Downloaded the Tron Legacy soundtrack by Daft Punk. Its £3.99 on Amazon MP3 this week. Its good, but not as "Daft Punk" as I was hoping on more like a film score. If that makes any sense.
