Only 3 mega worthwhile games worth checking out this week, unless you're a fan of Leisure Suit Larry, in which case, good luck with everything.

* The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena (PC, PS3, Xbox 360)

* Little King's Story (Wii)

* New Play Control! Pikmin 2 (Wii)

I have to say I'm more tempted by Pikmin 2 than Little King's Story which is stupid as I already have both Pikmins.

And for this week:

Gardening Mama (DS)

Marbles! Balance Challenge (Wii)

Rhythm Paradise (DS)

SingStar Pop Edition (PS3)

X-Men Origins: Wolverine (everything)

On a "Want" note, I'm sorely tempted by the two Max Paynes and Farenheit on Xbox Originals.

I already have plenty to play. I'm an idiot though.

I picked up Farenheit in cash converters for about £2 for the xbox so that might be cheaper.

I don't know why, but I'm tempted by Gardening Mama. I was interested in Kororinpa 2 (I refuse to call it by its real name) until I heard about the broken controls, I'd still like to give it a go though as I absolutely adored the original. I'd be buying Rhythm Paradise if I didn't already own the Japanese version, although it's almost worth buying again so that I know what to do on the stages.

Foolish boy.

I dunno, I fairly enjoyed it. No other game I've played looks better than it too. It;s no Cod4, but far better than most FPSs I can think of.

What essentials are on your list for the end of this year? Here's the ones I can think of. Definite ones for me are noted with an asterisk after the name, all others are high possibilities.

  • Oct 1 - Gran Turismo (PSP)
  • Oct 16 - Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (PS3)
  • Oct 23 - Forza Motorsport 3 (360)*
  • Oct 29 - Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City (360)
  • Nov 10 - Modern Warfare 2 (360)*
  • Nov 20 - New Super Mario Bros. (Wii)
  • Dec 04 - The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (NDS)*

NSMB needs to play well in single player for me to purchase it, and I fear it's going to be too focused on multiplayer. I'm still not sure about Gran Turismo. Uncharted 2 has popped onto the radar, for single player only as I didn't like the multiplayer, but I may wait until I see it cheap. I'm also tempted to get GTA episodes, as from what I've heard I should find them quite fun. Forza, MW2, and Zelda are all no-brainers for me. I was expecting more titles to feature, maybe I've missed some that I may be interested in.

To be honest, with Forza 3 and Modern Warfare 2, I don't think I'm going to need any more console games this year.
