Still no luck. The trial ones don't allow you to transfer hardly anything, and the ones that aren't trials don't seem to work. I guess I may have to just start again.

Actually, I didn't try SparePod. I'll try that now and see what happens.

Edit: well that didn't work too well either, so I've restored the iPod to its factory settings and am starting from scratch. I use it mainly for podcasts anyway, so I'm not too bothered. I managed to keep Peggle and Song Summoner, though.

Here's one for you. Trying to sync my ipod so I can listen to podcasts, but it isn't having any of it. The podcasts are there in my itunes, but for some reason they are not going across into my little white brick of music.

Hmm, might have solved it myself.

EDIT: Sorted. I have no idea why it just decided I have to update my podcasts on the podcasts sync page, I have never ever have had to do that before.

Interesting. Few people are saying it might be the arrival of The Beatles to iTunes.

Apparently thats a a Beatles or Wings lyric or something. Guess you'd be more likely to know than I. Also people are saying it might be a Mac App store.

It's not a direct Beatles reference as far as I can make out. As much as I like the Beatles, I'd hope for something more interesting than a load of old songs being on the store.

We're still holding out hope for a cloud-based subscription service to make that full-page teaser on Apple.com seem worthwhile, but it looks like today's unforgettable iTunes announcement will indeed just be the arrival of the Beatles to the store -- the Fab Four's page just went live, about 20 minutes before the official announcement. It looks like the entire catalog is available in a $149 box set complete with iTunes LP content, and there's also a few videos for your enjoyment. We're sure some of you are super-stoked about being able to buy this stuff in yet another format -- and we're glad Steve and Yoko worked it out -- but unless something else happens today we're feeling like we just witnessed a lot of empty hype.

Update: Yep, it's official -- the Beatles are on iTunes. No streaming announcement, no subscription service. Apple's given its entire front page over to a full-size shot of the boys, and as a bonus the "Live at the Washington Coliseum, 1964" video will stream for free for the rest of the year. Ringo, can you sum this up for us?

"I am particularly glad to no longer be asked when the Beatles are coming to iTunes," said Ringo Starr. "At last, if you want it-you can get it now-The Beatles from Liverpool to now! Peace and Love, Ringo."

I don't really get why this is regarded as being big news. If you haven't already ripped them from your cds or your remastered cds, then you will have downloaded them. It's not like you've not been able to get them till now.
