Does it do the ending too, that's all I'd care about
  2. I enjoyed it too. Raph isn't especially well written, but he's the worst anyway so who cares

Yeah, I'd agree with that. The kids on the design team where I used to work used to play Fortnite and a couple of other things, but invariably together, and only one of them played single player stuff (Persona etc). What was funny was hearing them discover things that aren't especially old, but then you realise media actually moves quit slow now. The Last Of Us came out years ago, the MCU started years and years ago, they've not exactly had a lot of time to catch up on things that are still kind of in the zeitgeist It's basically the same as us piling round people's houses to play Micro Machines and Sensi, only now it's a years old Mario Kart and Fortnite because it's new to them and still not been replaced I've a sneaking suspicion that it's the market COD goes after that might be more at risk. Those games cost a lot to make, but I'm not sure how appealing they are to new players
  4. That's seems like it might either be a great fit or a really terrible one

    Random News II

Reading the article, his comments don't seem quite that bad. Some places do let you tip devs already, but it's small studios on itch and the like. I don't know, if people want to it's their money but I don't see me doing it for a large publisher, and certainly not for someone like Blizzard
  7. I like the idea of going back to older questions @Nag I'm playing Cyberpunk atm, and they've added date nights to the game. Problem is, as far as I've seen, it's the same date repeated, and I'm not really bothered about my avatar getting laid. I certainly don't believe V is in love, his personality is too all over the place to feel like a real parson, because, y'know, I'm in control of him and sometimes I do the unequivocal right thing, and sometimes people just get murdered because it's quicker or funnier In a change from mentioning To The Moon, I'll instead mention its sequel Finding Paradise. I don't want to spoil it because people should play it, but it is probably the best bit of media I've ever encountered at dealing with imperfect relationships and unrealistic expectations. I remember saying in the thread about it, it's a proper gut punch of a game. Which is pretty damning that that's the most realistic portrayal of relationships I've played 😅

If the 30fps mode in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is the measure then me too
  10. I cropped this so there wasn't so much wasted space, and it's ended up emphasising the boobs SNK 40th Anniversary, a collection of some of SNK's older arcade games

Do you have to copy the seed to do it, or does it auto store one? I fucked one up this morning that could have been amazing
  12. Yeah, the Spirit Camera is the one that I'd have said. There was a Pokemon game too I think, I might even have that, it was an eshop game

I know it not the point, but I kind of wish you had a little more direction over your run. I've stumbled on to some really interesting builds, some of which I've won with, most of which I haven't, but a few I haven't even had chance to try. The joker has turned up, I can see how it could be used, but it's arrived too late or I can't afford it, whatever the reason it'd be great to be able to set them and experiment. There's enough random elements left in the game that this could be a mode I think My last win didn't start off feeling like it was going to be a successful run. I can't remember all the details but it essentially swung on 3 things. First, I was using the deck that's split between hearts and spades, second I got a card that left me make straights and flushes with only 4 cards. Then 3rd, I got the joker that gives you an additional multiplier for every time a hand is used, so a flush was getting me something stupid like +60 multiplier by the end.
  14. with the PS3 and its updates, it always seemed to me that it was more of an issue for those where the PS3 wasn't their main console. I used mine way more than my 360, particularly as time went on, so it didn't feel as frequent
  15. If I get back to No More Heroes 3 I think I'll start again with this version
  16. I really liked the OS on the PS3, I thought it was really quick. I didn't love installing everything mind. It was also the last time one of the big 2 felt distinct Oh, I've remembered that I had an Onlive. I didn't hate that, and it only cost me about £40 with a couple of games. It had some really cool touches, like the homescreen was a wall of screens of what people were playing that you could jump in and watch. But it barely had any games and you aren't paying £40 to buy a game with how they ran
  17. I loved the Wii, from pretty early on because of the novelty, and at the time I was playing a load of multiplayer, but still like Eledees and Zak & Wiki were way more interesting to me than what was on the other consoles at the time. Metroid Prime 3 when that eventually came out, Smash, Excite Truck, the light gun games. It ran out of steam eventually, but I still like it I feel bad saying this because I really like that it exists, and I think it's improved, but the Evercade. A retro based console where you get collections of games on carts. I bought this collectors edition at launch that came with all the games, and the plan was that I was going to keep up with it and have the complete collection. Thing is, it wasn't a lot of fun to play. The OS had issues, the controls were backwards (they fixed this relatively quickly as I understood it). The selection of games too, it's great that there's an outlet for them, but that home computer era (C64 etc), it's not for me. I have been tempted to buy a handheld that plays them recently. Honestly not sure why, I think I just want to like it, I do like it as a concept, just maybe the reality is that the Amiga and the like weren't for me
  18. If they made every Xbox game playable, including on disc, then I'd be more interested in picking one up This news though could be a mixed blessing. Possibly Xbox going with Nvidea rather than AMD, and so needing more work to continue support. Or, based entirely on speculation I heard the other day, not anything more than that, that they're going back to the cloud idea to get that biggest leap they mentioned. Personally I think the biggest leap comment was just marketing business nothingness, and not something I'd expect to hold them too

I'm late to replying to this, but as an old fucker (that's almost all of us, I'm just being polite), I remember the likes of Virtua Racing and Stunt Race FX coming out and he frame rate being talked about loads. Basically, that for as cool as they were they weren't great to play. It was definitely something talked about with the N64, and as @HandsomeDeadmentioned Digital Foundry, I'm pretty sure they've talked before about the Daytona Saturn port. It was less of an issue when there were fewer examples of slower framerates, but we used to talk about slow down, so it is true we didn't have the terminology we do now Also mentioning Digital Foundry, they must be getting on for 20 years old now right, if they started around the launch of the 360? So, even if you credit them with it becoming a thing, that's still a long time ago

I think there's definitely a discrepancy between which games get called out for their performance etc, and it's always been that way, and we're all guilty of it. Fallout 3 was straight up broken at various points on 360, and the 360 was the better console port, I don't remember reviews mentioning it. It gets talked about now but not then. Personally I'd rather a game look a bit old but run well if that's the choice. That's not to say I haven't turned the occasional blind eye to dodgy performance in a game I like. On the PC port thing. From mid 360/PS3 until the start of this generation PC was 100% the way to go if you had the choice. Cheap pcs were giving better performance that the consoles, and the broken Arkham Knight examples were notable because they were so rare. This last few years I've hesitated on buying pc games at launch just in case it's fucked. I assumed it'd come down to the NVMe drives in the consoles, but that's not really mattered at all, it seems to largely be down to developers not wanting to go back to shader caching, or weird choices with traversal loads. It's odd, PC is probably the 2nd biggest sku for a lot of games now, so not spending the time on it just seems like a really good way to get a load of negative attention for your game

Maybe EA need some quick money, or needed it before April, that they did some deals Fucking hell, getting so old I'm talking about year end
  23. I remember using it a load in combat, but with what I have that seems a bit less viable, but it looks like it's just messed with my load out since the big update. I did use the hacking earlier for the standard stuff of turning off cameras, but also to hack someone's vision as they knew where I was. That was pretty handy, it let me escape without a massive fight
