  1. Made a bit more progress and not enjoying it anymore than I was earlier. Goo monsters go down with a single shotgun blast to the head IF I get the angle right. Had to keep retrying the area which felt super cheap, but there was only enough ammo for 1 shot per goo monster. First boss down also In the next area now Still loving the setting and atmosphere, but a lot of the important mechanics are hot garbage which is a real shame.
  2. Picked this up for £9 on PSN and am a couple hours into it, and so far I'm not enjoying it that much. I don't like the lack of stealth mechanics in a game that forces so much stealth. Just being able to pop my head around a corner would be nice. Sprinting is hot trash too, it feels like Ethan is running through treacle and it is awful. I don't like that (so far anyway) every enemy is basically a mini boss. I didn't enjoy Mr X in the RE2 remake, I found it stressful, but not in a "Ooo that's scary" way as was intended, but in a "Oh for fuck sale I'm trying to explore" way, and that's exactly how the family are making me feel. I also emptied 32 bullets into a goo monster and it didn't drop, so had to restart and run around it, so that sucked. It's a shame because the setting is superb, and I'm enjoying the Bioshock style story telling. It looks and sounds fantastic too, and I genuinely love the atmosphere. I'm 2 hours is so I'll stick with it, hopefully it will get better or the mechanics will click with me, but at the moment it's just reminding me of the worst parts of the RE2 remake ?‍♂️
  3. Comedy horror b-movie about zombie beavers wrecking shit ?
  4. You should watch Zombeavers to cheer yourself up.
  5. Haha, excellent! I'm still laughing about it with my girlfriend ? So many genuine lol and wtf moments!! Glad you enjoyed it ?
  6. Ok that's a pretty solid deal. I really want to see Cooties.
  7. Yeah I'd agree with that. Tonight we watched: Malevolent By the numbers spookfest. Brother and Sister team fake exorcisms for money, but then they take a job that turns out to be more than it seems.... Spooky Florence Pugh, a few others. Nice atmosphere and use of sound, mild but effective gore and violence, nice indie vibe 6/10 Zombeavers Funny as fuck Critters-esque nonsense. Title says it all. Nice throwback to dumb 80's schlock. Boobs and Beavers!! 8/10 But that's on a B-Movie scale

    Random News II

    That's pretty awesome.
  12. I've never played a Just Cause, Animal Crossing, any Luigi title or a Mario Party. I think the biggest selling franchise I've never played is Madden at 130million+ games sold in the series. I've also never played Binding of Issac, simply because I don't like the visuals. They gross me out too much ?‍♂️ I'm probably missing a great game, but just looking at it makes me feel dirty so I've never tried it ?

    TV Shows

Still watching The Blacklist, just started season 4. It's gone from very silly super villain with a cool nickname of the week procedural to absolutely bonkers conspiracy shenanigans and at this point if Solid Snake et all turned up I wouldn't be the least bit surprised.
  14. I've put around 12 hours into this now and approaching the half way point (on chapter 4 of 7) and I'm still loving it. The game is gorgeous, the characters are genuinely loveable, and the music and writing is really good. Combat and levels work differently to pretty anything I've played. When attacking each character has extra character specific actions they can do to increase damage (a variation of press the correct button at the correct time), and pressing A just before an enemy attack hits a character will block the attack reducing or canceling damage. The characters all have special assists on their attacks: one can hit flying enemies and knock them onto the ground, another can flip shelled enemies over exposing their weak spot, and one can pull burrowing enemies out of the ground. Each character gets one turn, but a character turn can be sacrificed to give one that's already had a turn another turn, adding some nice strategy. Special attacks are offensive or defensive and use TP which is shared between the party, and status attacks are real important. Characters don't level up individually, they go up as a team. At first it's a 100 XP points yo level up, then 101, 102, etc. Wheh you level up you get to choose either 1+ HP, 3+ TP or 3 Medal Points. Nothing else levels up. No attack, defense, speed, any of that, so around 12 hours in I'm still hitting as hard as I was when I started the game. There is an attack and defense stat, but I haven't found a way to increased them yet. All other buffs are done with Medals. Medals cost points to equip, and the buffs are either for whichever bug has the medal equipped, or it's for the entire team. Medals include things like HP+, poison resist, etc etc, so they're essentially a mix of armour and perks. Each character had an out of combat action they can do, and there is a tonne of environmental puzzles to solve using them. A couple of the puzzles have had me scratching my head for a while, but I always had that 'eureka' moment and figured it out. The challenge is absolutely spot on. It isn't particularly easy, but some of the bosses have been tricky and I've had more than a couple of close calls. And before anyone asks no I have never played a Paper Mario game.
  15. Bit of an overreaction for the delay of what is essentially an advert there Blakey ?
  16. Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling is an absolutely delightful RPG inspired by Paper Mario. It's an indie title developed by Moonsprout Games (who I have never heard of) and has been on Steam since November last year, and has just come to Switch, PS4, and Xbone. I've put around 5 and a half hours into and am really enjoying myself. I'll write more later, but I'm struggling to type right now.
  17. I haven't played Bully or GTAV either, I'm not a fan of Rockstar's games.
  18. I will definitely be importing one ?
  19. I made a review video for Ys Origin
  20. I have never played Half Life 2, Red Dead Redemption 2, or Minecraft.
  21. If this is true it is super interesting and a very good move on Microsofts part. I guess we find out in a few days.
