  1. I think they could definitely do 5 and keep it set in Africa, they'd just have to be more wary about where it's set, enemies weapon sets, representation and stuff like that. If they set it in somewhere like South Africa (or a fake version of it)) where there is a large white population then you could shoot zombies of all races. As others have said though, it's the representation that matters most, that the locals aren't portrayed as natives or anything classically racist like that. If they try to attempt it there will definitely need to be major changes anyway, no doubt about that. As one of the few people who liked 6 I wouldn't mind a remake, but there would be an awful lot that needs to be changed there to appease the masses.
  2. Grandstand finish 😬 Hoping it Flashback 2 doesn't drop anymore.
  3. Closed Alpha Test this weekend I'm in and have a few invites if anyone wants one, not sure if it has to be PS only or not.
  4. I don't even remember much of what I played of FFXIV really, it was donkeys years ago now, I certainly don't remember the side quests. I think FF16 is an easy game to love ❤️
  5. More weird news than negative news lol, it's just bizarre isn't it? It's something entitled Indie dev nob jockeys like Digital Homicide etc. have done in the past, just so bizarre for a big company like Bethesda under an even bigger humungous corporation like Microsoft to do really, super odd. No reflection on the game though, I have no thoughts on it really myself as I never played enough of it.
  6. £20 for FFXVI is a great deal, I wanted to give Evil West a go but the reviews put be off it really, I think I'd have to go a little lower than £20 to be tempted with that. Said this in the thread, but FFXVI side quests weren't bad for me, I don't get the furore but yeah, we'll see how you get on with them and FFXVI in general. I have a feeling you're going to come down on the negative side of the fence with it but we'll see it I guess.
  7. Pretty good for me, played a little bit of Sable on GP when I still had the Xbox and enjoyed it. I think I already have Powerwash with + Premium but 2K Drive I'd been wanting to try out, may actually get around to playing some of these now I have the PSP.
  8. I only had a Mega Drive so stuff like Sonic, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Streets of Rage, Batman Returns, James Pond, Ristar, Toejam & Earl, Shinobi, Taz, McDonalds games (can't remember the name), Golden Axe, Earthworm Jim, Aladdin, Lion King, Jungle Book.
  9. Yeah, it's definitely not as deep as something like DMC but I can see why they didn't go that deep, you can definitely switch Eikons and combo into stuff though which is always satisfying when you pull it off. I do wish it had a combo gauge in a way but again I can see why they restricted that to the replay mode at the monolith type things. As soon as I unlocked the Titan eikon it immediately reminded me of that ability from DMCV (Virgil's?), it's cool that Cid comments on it in that fight, such a great character.
  10. Lovely stuff, no way am I going to get to it anywhere near that time though with the amount of stuff releasing in Jan and Feb.
  11. Finished this last week, took me almost 80 hours I think. Really enjoyed it overall, loved the characters (especially Clive, Gav and Mid but Byron was a character too) and the camaraderie of the 'cursebreakers' throughout the game. Really refreshing to have an FF with primarily English voices compared to the usual high pitched Americans they tend to put in JRPGs. Everything seemed super inspired by Game of Thrones, which is no bad thing but it did lack a little bit of that Final Fantasy-ness about it at times, the only thing really was the Chocobo, a few of the side quests and enemy designs really, even the victory battle theme was made more gruff. Not really a bad thing per se but definitely lacked a bit of joy (maybe?) at times, I don't quite no what I'm trying to say, but that quirky FF-ness I suppose. Some absolutely incredible boss fights, Titan was a personal favourite, just a ridiculous spectacle. There was lots of downtime and non-bombastic moments in between but I never really felt they were an issue pacing-wise until the last third of the game maybe at times. For all the hoo-ha made of the dreadful side quests, I enjoyed quite a lot of them. Maybe not the activity themselves but I'd say a good amount had a decent story behind them, they were all fully voiced as well which was surprising. I did every single one of them and didn't feel like I wasted my time, the quantity did ramp up towards the end which was mildly annoying but not to a significant degree. I did all the hunts as well and they were pretty fun, I think I was a little over-levelled so most of them were a cake walk (even the S ranks) but yeah I had a lot of fun doing them all. The combat in general in this game is its shining star really, just absolutely fantastic and never got boring or repetitious for my entire 80 hour play time. So yeah, a bloody good game overall. Having only finished 3 FF's, this is probably my least favourite behind X and XV but only by a small degree if that makes sense. Highly recommended.
  12. Yep, 5 points in it now between me and @radiofloyd 😬
  13. Have put in almost 4 hours into this so far, definitely agree that is the most serious in tone a Yakuza/LaD game has been for awhile, the first chapter was petty much all traditional stoic gruff Kiryu-san rolling his eyes as he needs to beat up some more bad dudes. Not far into Chapter 2 now, just met Akame for the first time and she seems like a cool character. Done a little bit of exploring around Sotenbori, recognising some of the buildings from when I was there last month, playing some arcade games, Billiards etc. and that's about it so far. I've been using both fighting styles, I think the new one (spy?) might be better for groups but for one on ones I prefer the Yakuza style. It feels like a 'back to basics' entry really, especially compared to LaD 7 (which was just chock full of stuff to do and distract yourself with) it's no bad thing at all, it has felt streamlined and more focused than recent entries. It's so nice to be back playing as Kiryu again with the real time battle system and everything as well, as much as I do like LaD 7's new turn-based system.

  16. I would just throw a load of caution into this, that my experience on the iPad/iPhone with Remote Play and a Portal via Remote play have been wildly different. On my iPad/iPhone it was barely serviceable really, stopped a lot, lots of lag etc. whereas with the Portal it has been amazing with little lag, I'm dumbfounded as to why as on paper the two should be almost the same, I expected them to run the same and the lag to render it barely serviceable, but I get hardly any lag and it runs superbly well, I honestly forget it isn't running natively. It's a reasonable thing to recommend, I'm just saying as a user with first hand experience here the iPad/iPhone Remote Play setup is wholly more laggy and awful than my PS Portal experience has been. I can't tell you why this is, I don't understand it myself, I've been very pleasantly surprised by it so far, I honestly have to remind myself it's not running natively a lot of the time. I get it's an outlay on will it/won't it run better than an iPhone but from my experience that isn't representative, it's a bit apples and oranges is all. So I'd say buy and then return for a refund if you aren't happy with it would be a better solution. People can hate Sony, no skin off my nose lol, I think the internet as a whole has become an increasingly negative, hateful space in general is all, the reception to the Portal has been way better than I expected personally, review wise. We seem to be straying into regurgitated arguments already had anyway so I'll leave it there. I had low expectations for it and it has exceeded them by leaps and bounds is all anyway.
  17. I wouldn't personally recommend this as a good test, on my phone and iPad remote play wasn't great, just about serviceable with skips frequently and lots of lag. On the Portal I have next to no issues at all in comparison. I can't explain why this is the case, but I have significantly less latency on the Portal, same home network setup etc.
  18. It was an article about the Portal selling out with one paragraph about scalpers lol, I guess it makes more sense now though, I hadn't put 2 and 2 together.
  19. I've been off the CoD train for awhile now, can't even remember the last I bought Day 1. I got MW 2019 for free with a GPU on PC, bought WWII after release. Maybe Infinite Warfare was the last I bought Day 1. It definitely seems the SP side is in decline from an outsiders perspective, each year seems to get a little bit worse and this year has taken the biscuit really on that front.
  20. There's 41 million PS5 owners out there now, is it really a surprise that they've sold out? Pretty much all I heard from the negative corners of the internet is that this is a niche within a niche, there was almost a baying hope that it falls flat on its arse, and now its sold out, the easy excuse to why things didn't go as these people hoped, yep must be scalpers lol. I've never really agreed with the niche within a niche theory anyway. How many 25+ blokes with partners have to share the tele and are amongst that 41 million figure that already own PS5's? Most likely quite a few so that ability to play your PS5 when your spouse/OH is watching some mindless shit on TV is priceless to some, like myself. As I think the only person on here that has one, I've been incredibly impressed and surprised by it. I have withheld my views up to now as no one really cares on here and have made up their own minds anyway, of course the Sony shill is going to like it anyway, right? lol. But I guess fuck it, it's the best handheld I've ever used. The build quality is incredibly good, it's ridiculously comfortable to hold in the hands as it's just a split DualSense and doesn't cut any corners for better portability. The screen is way WAY better than I thought it would be, being just an LCD screen as well. Having all the DualSense features in it is just magnificent as well, being able to feel all the hits etc. in a game rather than feeling some lifeless controller in your hands makes such a huge difference. The best thing about it though is that the latency seems much improved over my previous Remote Play setup (iPad with DualSense connected to it). I don't really know why that is, the Portal connects straight to the WiFi in my house rather than runs off my PS5 WiFi and there's no bluetooth connection running between a DualSense and a screen, it's all in one (if that makes sense) so there's no secondary signal coming that may affect the latency and connection between the Portal and PS5. This may sound like bollocks but if you walked into my house and saw me on the Portal, I showed you it running, I don't think you'd even realise it's being streamed from the PS5, you'd think it was running natively, it's that impressive in person. I read that your upload speed affects the latency you get rather than download speed? So I guess my upload speed might be good too, I'm not really sure, I only have a BT fibre 75MBps line, no Virgin 500GB fibre or anything but those are download figures anyway.
