Monument Valley Infamous: Second Son Mission design and support characters were waaay more interesting in 2 and maybe even 1. But they finally fixed the sticky traversing the older games had making it a lot better to play. Looks lovely which makes me quite excite to see how games will look on PS4 in 2/3 years time. Neon maybe the coolest/prettyest power up in a game ever too. Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes Was surprised by how nice a Last of Us-que cover system works in Metal Gear. I finished it in under a hour. But I'm even more hyped for Phantom Pain, that was the point right?

So the depth in this game and my knowledge of baseball is making the learning curve quite steep. But I've spent a lot time playing it saying why the fuck doesn't FIFA do this, for instance.. If the games idles in menus the game starts a random CPU vs CPU game. And when you come back, if you want you can join the game instantly (no going to menus) by pressing the touchpad. How cool is that!? Dynamic commentary. The commentary in FIFA is soooo fucking bad. But in this through the roster updates a player will have different through season depending on form etc. Again how cool is that. The classic commentary breaks in the music in the menus is a nice touch too. I'm getting the hang of pitching but suck at batting. I've only hit 1 home run with Cabrera so far. any tips PV? Think I'm going to watch some games and maybe do some research to find out what some of the terms mean ("bottom of the 5th" eh?!) but I've really liked what I've played so far.

Monument Valley (IOS) Kinda short, no real challenge and slightly expensive for an IOS game at £2.49. But I really enjoyed my time with it. It's soooo pretty. Also the first actual game I've completed this year...kinda depressing.

Anyone else pick up Monument Valley that came out today? It's a very pretty puzzle platformer. (I want to post more pics but I don't want to spoil it for folk) I'm up to about chapter 5/6. It's good.

Went a bit crazy booking shit over the weekend as my work were asking when I wanting my holidays this year. Booked tickets for:- Swans in May in a small venue in Aberdeen (wtf!) Going on a wee Eastern Europe trip in August starting in Bratislava and finishing at the OFF festival in Katowice, Poland. Cost about £40 for the 3 day pass. With 65daysofstatic, DeafHeaven, Fuck Buttons, Wolf Eyes etc all confirmed so far. Couple of days after coming back from Katowice I have Converge in Glasgow. And finally in October I'm going to see Clint Mansell in Glasgow. I'm a big soundtrack guy but not really a massive Mansell fan. But it's one of them gigs that if I didn't go I think I would regret it later on. Hopefully he plays some of his Mass Effect stuff too. So yeah that's my plans. Anyone got any decent gigs/festivals on the horizon?
