  1. Well, fuck Not sure anyone of us could have predicted that one
  2. Isn't this all wrapped up now then? I think the top 3 is locked in anyway
  3. Bet you wish you had filled in that feedback survey now!
  4. I'd actually argue that what they've done with Star Wars regarding the shows has led to the best Star Wars content for some considerable time. It doesn't feel like it has been over saturated like the MCU does, and at least 75% of those shows have been good to great (Obi Wan and Book of Boba, I'm looking at you), and it generally feels like a good course correct for what they're doing with the Star Wars universe. I think a lot of that is down to Dave Filoni. With regards to MCU, I think it was also going to struggle post Endgame as it was so big and managed to land a pretty satisfying conclusion to a decade long movie saga, which is a pretty amazing feat really. That being said, I didn't expect the quality of content post Endgame to be this all over the shop. Very few of the films have been that good, most pretty average and some just bad (hello Eternals) and the TV show quality has also fluctuated wildly as well, but worst of all, just been a bit dull as well, none of it has been as good as MCU at its peak. I'm not really sure what they can do moving forward, all the multiverse stuff is pretty exhausting and reeks of them trying to integrate as many characters and IPs as possible, it doesn't have a neat through line like you got with the infinity stones. Kang could be great, but as said above, is currently over shadowed by claims against the actor (side point, they should probably just digitally bulk up the actors in post, hasn't it been speculated with a few MCU actors that they are juicing to get bulked up for roles, which comes with side effects), it's all just a bit of a mess. That being said, I'm quite looking forward to Marvel's. We just wrapped up Ms Marvel the other night and both me and my wife really enjoyed it, probably one of our favourite MCU shows. It helps that my wife is Pakistani Muslim, so all the cultural references just landed so well.
  5. if you are so inclined you can watch all three via tokuzilla dot net with english subs, 1080p for free
  6. What's the best way to watch the Shin films in the UK? Is it just dodgy downloads?
  7. @mfnick could be taking a shot for first place with his two releases. I'm still annoyed with my counter pick fuck up, but am happy with 4th overall Edit, @DisturbedSwan has some strong releases as well, just saw that. Will be a close finish

    Books

Is that the second book? I read all of them back when I was at uni, but they do drop off in quality IMO after the second, maybe even after the first if memory serves
  9. Yeah that was bullshit I'd agree with that
  10. I'm not sure I'd included Mario 3d all stars in that list, sure they didn't do much of anything to them, but they did at least run well and it was a nice presentation (IMO obvs)
  11. Nah man it's a meta commentary on capitalism and the state of modern gaming
  12. I've picked my favourite for each Nintendo console I've owned. I've left out the GBA as the only Nintendo titles I owned where remakes of snes titles, the others I played emulated. SNES: Super Mario All-Stars N64: Super Mario 64 Game Cube: Super Mario Kart: Double Dash Wii: Super Mario Galaxy Switch: Super Mario Odyssey Game Boy: Links Awakening/Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins (genuinely can't pick between those) DS: Animal Crossing (Wide World?) 3DS: Super Mario 3D Land Favourite of the bunch, hard to say really. I've got a lot of nostalgia love for Mario64, but it hasn't aged well, I return to Mario Odyssey and I think that is probably my favourite 3D Mario title, Links Awakening felt like nothing I'd ever played before when it came out, I poured hundreds of hours into the Animal Crossing on the DS, se with Double Dash playing multi at uni. I'm not going to pick just one
  13. that film properly gave me the heebie-jeebies, it was pretty good, but I'll never watch it again
  14. Click on the blue plus, then go to the thread you want to use the quote in, you should see a use quote button in the bottom right corner @Nag
  15. I think I'll finish in the high 80s so 4th place, not bad considering I lost 28 points on my counter picks

    Forza Motorsport

How are people getting on with this? I'm not sure if it's because I've not played a track racer properly for a long time (Forza 3 on the 360) or I'm just to used to the Horizon games, but I'm finding it a little bit of a chore. I'll keep going with it for the time being, as I've got Game Pass until January, but I'm not enjoying it as much as I'd hoped I would. I can't really put my finger on why, it feels like the Forza I remember, I quite like the game play loop of choose a tournament, get a car for it, level that car up as you go through and come out the other side with something better, but I think it might be a bit dull. Maybe I just enjoy the Horizon games more these days. I'm playing in performance mode on the Series S, oh boy it does not look good. I'm not a bit graphics guy but it looks very "last gen", but runs at 60fps though. Not tried it in visual mode (I can't remember the correct term) as I can't handle the switch back to 30fps once I'm at 60.
  17. Lovely. Will go some way to offsetting my Forza counter pick at least. Still in the game!
  18. You should defo see The Creator, it was great

    Forza Motorsport

That's good to hear, that's a pet peeve of mine with some racing games where it feels like you're turning the track around the car, not the car around the track. I always had that issue with Ridge Racer and the original mario kart to name two. It's a once you notice it you can't un-notice it thing and why I've always used the "Stuck to the front like a dead fly" view since Ridge Racer Revolution
  20. Not sure what I was talking about then, sorry. Fake news!
  21. It's been a while since I looked but if I remember correctly, the only wireless one supported is the official Xbox headset, I don't think it was astronomical, but also didn't have great reviews.
