    Cloverfield

mynameis wrote: a troll is someone how posts shit on the internet and crap on forums. The movie is real. the trailer is on with transformers. i'm just not sure if all the stuff on imdb and the other web site is related to the movie or just someone jumping on a band wagon, although the whole thing seems to clever to have come out of some kids bedroom. in fact the whole thing screams jj abrams

    Cloverfield

ok just been looking on imdb about this movie and no one knows anything about it, but there is a thread on there called "join the resistance" i think what this whole thing is is the most ingenious marketing viral ever conceived. Or its a very clever troll who's had me hooked for over an hour. Also whats interesting is the whole thing refers to http://ethanhaaswasright.com/ where there is some little flash puzzles to solve and it keeps giving video blogs talking about Armageddon and the likes, no one knows if this is part of the 18-01-08 movie or something unrelated. I hope the whole this is some clever marketing viral and i haven't been suckered in by trolls for the last hour...

  6. Ok been playing this today and after stumbling through endless japanese text and trying to figure out endless text based tasks i've finally got to the good stuff. See pics you have 4 different "moves" touch, look kiss and wink. With this saucy minx i had to touch her leg for a bit, then she looks all shy,and changes how she is standing, then i winked at her, looked at her face and hair, touched her legs a bit more. The back ground gets redder if you are getting it right and eventually her leg starts throbbing or something then i think i won. I'm now off to turn my self in at the police station and get me on the register. On a more serious note, it is a fun game and would be good to play in English, but there is still something very very seedy about it.
  7. why have i never heard of this before:S don't worry after watching that im going to set that fact stright. Leave you seed out side, fucking genious

  11. I've been playing it the last few days and its freaking ace!just as good as the 1st one and EBA. Its ideal for me to play in my break time, i can tap through a few songs and cram cake in my pie whole, however i get 20 mins break but today sat in the canteen for almost an hour playing it and got in trouble...still it was worth it.

    Sunshine

Jimbo's Top Reasons for wanting to make love to "sunshine" Thought i'd better try to back up my claims of best movie ever, although i've come to realise that is a pretty bold statement 1) It is the best Space movie since Alien. Infact it borrows heavely in style from Alien, with certain scenes almost being lifted from that movie. Some might see this as a negative, me personally i think it was a heartfelt homage to the mother of space horror flicks. It also lifts elements of 2001, and there is a little event horison in there as well. 2) For me it was a totally gripping 104 mins of movie. From the opening title (no precredits here) i was hooked and didn't blink untill the end credits, IMO there wasn't a single moment where the movie sagged, every scene was there for a reason, all the characters had there own personality without having to resort to exposition and back story. It was a story that although sounding far fetched was approached in a realistic manner. 3) Visualy the most impressive movie i have seen in a long time. Everything from the special effects that are seamlessly intergrated into the movie, to the colour to the contrast of light and dark, subliminal images, freeze frames, extreme closeups. All of these things can ruin a movie but in the hands of Danny Boyle they are expertly used to excellent effect. It is simply a joy to behold. Also the audio is fantastic, dramatic, light, dark, intense and spooky and more amazing by the fact its underworld. 4) Cillian Murphy, Boyles new McGregor i reckon. Everything that he is in seems to be excellent. 5) The constant bucking for Sterotypical plot devices. There are a few cunning red herrings thrown in here to keep the viewer on its toes. All in all, flawless:) Of course, this is just my opinion...

    Lunar Knights

Ok this is a very very early first impression, i'm literaly 30 mins into the game. So far so good. The graphics are very nice, some well animated sprites. There are some actual spoken voices in the cut scenes, the rest is dialog on the top screen. The action takes place on the bottom screen in a isometric position. You can do chain attacks with your sword (up to three to start with) and block with a shield. Blocking stuns your enemys leaving them open to attack. The game plays very fast and throws you into the action within 2 mins of starting. So far its all pretty straitforward but seems to be pretty good. I'll post something a little more indepth either later tonight or tomorrow when i've had a chance to play on a little further. peace y'all

  22. Puzzle Series Vol. 5 - First Impressions This is the Fifth volume in the Hudson puzzle series covering a variety of games from suduko, kakuro, to picross and crosswords. This particular installment is "slitherlinks". The idea of the game is do draw a specific number of lines around a grid so that it matches the number contained within the grid. i.e if there is a 3 in a box you mark three of the lines and leave one empty. The number range from 0-3 with the rest of the boxes being left blank. In theory this sounds simple enough, however the trick with this game is making them all connect on one continuos line, this is where things begin to get tricky. You start on a 6x6 board and will probably have no idea where to start you line (i know thats what happened to me...) however there are certain rules which help you to eliminate parts of the board, for example if a box has a zero you know no lines can be touching it, if next to the zero there is a three, you know which part of the 3 has to be highlighted and so on and so forth. The game contains 6x6 , 10x10, 18x10 and a massive 24x14 sized grids. At first it should take about 10-15 mins to beat the 6x6 puzzles, but once you have done a few you notice recurring patterns and can be finishing them in under a minute . The 24x14 puzzles can take a couple of hours to work though and if you find you have made a mistake, it is one hell of a task to find where you went wrong. So far i've found 10x10 and 18x10 to be a good size if you want something to kill 10-15 mins. The game is Japanese, and seen as there is no plans to release an english language version, you will have to make do with bumbling though the menu's. It is relatively easy to navigate, everything is laid out in a similar way to Suduko gridmaster (that being the english port of Puzzle Series Vol.1) so if you have played that you will instantly feel at home. You are also awarded stars for completing boards in under a set time, this seems to level you up, but i've not figured out what it unlocks yet. Hopefully if a full English translation does turn up the game could revel a lot more surprises but for most it will be all about the puzzles. Once in the game things are much more straight forward. The top screen is used for an overall view of your current puzzle and can be switched to a hints page. The bottom screen is where you place your lines on the grid. You can either put in a solid line, a ghost line or crosses in lines you defiantly cannot use. On the bottom right there is a series of buttons. One is to rotate the top screen, the other highlights the numbers you have completed and finally there is a menu/pause button. From what i can tell the game contains over 300 different boards, so to finish the lot will take some time. A word of warning though, this game is more addictive than crack and coke zero combined, once you start a board, you will not be able to leave it until its finished. I would highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys logic puzzles.
  23. nah its not to bad, i used the original review that hendo posted in the first post as that gave some rough translation, then just poked stuff until i figurued out what it did. still need to find how to save progress though. to start with i was finding the 6x6 grids very tricky however after 5-6 you start to notice patterns etc etc, now working through 10x10 done about 21 so far. I don't know if this is old info or not, but sudoku gridmaster must be part of the puzzle series as it is also by hudson and uses the same stars rating system, and all the graphics are identical, so i guess there might be a slim chance of it getting US release if not EUR
