Just wondered @one-armed dwarf how far you've made it in the game? You in post game yet?

I'll just thank my lucky stars for VRR and a compatible display then as (and I'm not telling porkies here) the experience has been pretty nice on Series X to the point where I've left the unlocked framerate on even with the capped option available. Personally I think there's a bigger problem in regards to relying on reviews for games as there just way too much personal taste involved imo... you know that they'll be reviews of the next Call of Duty game declaring it "just more of the same" whereas that same site will declare the next Gran Turismo the second coming of Christ even though it's literally more of the same.

I can't really comment on PC talk... but surely they could turn some shit down or off to get it running better (or upgrade their PC... isn't that the "beauty" of that system?) Console players get ragged on routinely for accepting substandard performance and that's kind've something baked in now but all I ever read online is how PC games come with massive amounts of problems that if you can't brute force your way past them you're kind've fucked.

While there's an argument to be made against review parity (there generally isn't any) this just sounds like he doesn't like the game.

Gave it a quick try this morning... it's dampened my enthusiasm a little bit to be honest, doesn't look as polished as I'd hoped it would and certainly doesn't play how I'd hoped. Think I managed one perfect dodge, I was slightly more successful with the parry so I guess that's the way I'll be going. I can already tell this'll be a game of attrition for me though.

There is literally no way I would've got the right answer for the one you want to think on without cheating... it's something that I would never of noticed.

Saw an article yesterday where the director of the game had urged people to turn on Game Mode with their tv's...🤣 It's not like Game Mode is some kind've miracle worker and most modern tv's aren't even that bad without it in regards to input lag nowadays.

I got the Sorcerer maister skills earlier so Laurana is rocking Maelstrom and Meteoron now... she literally kicks any large creatures arse. I've also finished the Sphinx questline... I cheated 😉... out of interest @one-armed dwarf which ones did you fail? I've also got the preserved Medusa head and then turned her to stone... paybacks a bitch. In regards physics in this game I had a Griffin land close to me from out of nowhere earlier which caused Jill to stumble in to a tree and then fall on her arse... that got a chuckle out of me.

Watched Barbie last night and I never expected to be writing this but I really enjoyed it... the first 10 or 15 minutes were a bit like "what the fuck am I watching" but after that it was fine. Also last weekend we watched the new Road House film with Jake Gyllenhaal and Conor McGregor... I can't say what it's like compared to the Swayze film as I've never seen it but I enjoyed this version enough... it nails the 80's film vibe it's going for.

Fuck that... didn't you do a run of Gears games and enjoy yourself? There's life in the old dog yet.😉

Level 38 now, I've gone back to Archer class as I think it makes the gameplay more exciting as opposed to Thief just running up and wailing on things... also I've realised you can use skills in tandem with the zoomed in view so you can actually aim skills at weak points. For my last three sessions (and they've been lengthy sessions) I've literally been wondering around the map trying to find optional Portcrystals and such... Laurana is now a fairly strong Sorcerer who can translate Elven... I can handily take on a Drake as long as it's not situated somewhere stupid. I've managed five of ten Sphynx puzzles the next five are on hold... Next port of call is trying to get a Preserved Medusa head. Not sure why I never clocked it before but playing as an Archer makes this in to a better version of the Horizon games.

I reckon it's all these dodgy oleds causing the issues... you guys should've bought decent tv's to begin with.
