If Space Giraffe and Thumper had a baby, and raised it on a diet of hallucinogens.
  2. Apparently not. They say that price changes come with a temporary price freeze so waiting until v1.0 could stop them being able choose to take part in future seasonal sales.

    Tinykin

Tinykin is a 3D platformer collect-em-up, reminiscent of something from the N64/PS1 era (but a smoother, more modern experience, naturally). You travel around the levels amassing a bunch of different coloured pikmin-like critters which have different abilities, solve some very light puzzles to complete a bunch of tasks to earn an object and open the way to the next level. It's cute and plays well, it just keeps you going without putting obstacles in the way of your enjoyment. It's nothing earth-shattering, just a simple fun game. I played it on game pass, starting on Thursday night, and completing it the next evening. It felt like time well spent.

Loved the way the old tech interfaces looked and felt, and the slight sense of "something's not right" dread weaving through the stories.
  7. Black Thought and Danger Mouse put out an album a couple of weeks ago

    TV Shows

At some point having a service full of cancelled unfinished series has got to harm them, right?
  9. nothing to see here. I was meant to be typing in a different window.

I really liked Her Story, I didn't get around to playing Telling Lies, and I'd never heard of this until just now:

  13. Can't say I love the art style right now, but maybe it'll grow on me. Looking forward to seeing more of the game though.

  15. I only owned a PS2 and PS3 so it's not going to be a massive list. I often used the PS2 for the more quirky games which weren't necessarily great but were interesting, and didn't actually play a whole lot of exclusive stuff on the PS3. Frequency/Amplitude Shadow Of The Colossus Ico Gregory Horror Show Grim Grimoire Okami Sly Cooper We Love Katamari Persona 3 and 5 (I like 4 better but I didn't play it until it came to PC) Some might have been ported elsewhere later, but I think they were only on playstation when I played them.
  16. The f2p version launched on Epic game store yesterday, and also on Switch. I heard matchmaking was broken, so people were waiting ages for a game.

The origin story video for the new Overwatch 2 character Junker Queen has a song from Amyl & The Sniffers.

I think the only bit I really didn't like much was the section where you have to follow the guy's head around as it displaces the water so you can use the platforms.

    Diablo Immortal

I played the PC beta for a couple of hours, it's very much a streamlined Diablo experience and the UI is currently pretty much a phone UI. It supports controllers but the mouse and keyboard option allows movement using WASD keys as well as the traditional clicking method. This is a first for me in a Diablo game and it was great for playing a ranged character, making it much easier to move around while still attacking.

  22. Not massively inspiring for me, but I'd give Chorvs a try.
  23. Epic have a new sale on. I haven't looked what the headline titles are yet. They've changed the coupon system to 25% off rather than £10. This means a worse saving on any game under £40 but more on higher priced games, also since they finally added a shopping cart sometime last year, the 25% off will apply to all eligible games in the cart. I've only bought a handful of games from the store and all of them were in the sales for £15-£20 before applying the £10 coupon, so I'd be getting a worse deal under these new conditions.
