  1. Decent Black Friday sale on Xbox at minute. I didn’t buy Crew 2, thats a free weekend thing I thought I’d try (it’s terrible). Will probably get Mass Effect Legendary after payday.

  2. To translate: “Dear customers we don’t give a flying fuck about. We thought it was perfectly acceptable to punt out a totally broken, load of wank remaster, because it’s Xmas, and we want your money. Apparently we’re utter fucking idiots, and don’t realise that there’s thing called the internet, which means that shit business tactics like this, get called out on. Constantly. So we’d better do our fucking jobs, and make it actually half decent. We only charged you £50 for it, could have been worse, right?” Honestly, fuck the greedy cunts at Take Two. And fuck Rockstar as well. They used to have integrity. Now they’re a fucking joke.

  3. I think just Fallout 4 comes to mind but it may not even be the game's fault all that much, it may have just been me having a change of taste between F3 and F4. You could probably have similar criticisms of both games but those things just bothered me more by the time F4 came out. New Vegas coming out between those would be a factor too but I'm not the biggest fan of that game either but I recognise it as being considerably better.

  5. I fucking adore ME2, especially on release. But I completely understand where you’re coming from. It felt so dumbed down when compared to the original and like you say it was more like a soft reboot. There was definitely some disappointment there. I still say the first is the best when asked even though to a new player I’d say give it a go but be prepared to skip and YT it because it is quite hard to get into.

  6. I'll have another look, but when I tried to download it it took me to the shop. It was only about a fiver, mind. So I've come across a new foe, the flood, aptly named since they seem to just want to run over you like a high tide. And there's an exploding one - which they definitely tipped a hat to over at bioware when they were doing mass effect. Luckily I've got myself the shotgun which, like most of the other weapons in this, does far more damage with more accuracy than you have a right to expect. Boom. I'm making my way thru a library with no books, holding onto the coat tails of a new little AI companion. Hope he last longer than my marine companions, who like nothing better than jumping in front of my guns and getting their heads blown off. Master chief? Master cunt, I says.

  7. I’m somehow up to 9 hours and the battery ran low so need to stop. The battery life might be the thing that saves me by forcing to take breaks. I’ve only done the 2nd gym and got access to the Underground. Where I lost 2 hours wandering around it. Pro tip. Don’t do this. As soon as you get Underground access, leave straight away so the NPC will give you tools to actually make the most of the Underground. Instead of doing what I did which was wander around without the items wondering why I can’t do shit I never really played the Underground stuff in the original. I tried it to know I didn’t like it, but I thought this time I would give it a go and see if I can figure it out. Hmm… So the way it works is it’s just an Underground series of corridors that connect to rooms. In the corridors you can find Pokemon that drop energy, which when collect 40 energy your odds at finding better stuff goes up. You can also mine glowing walls for gems (Underground currency), some battle items and statues. Statues seem to be the best thing because when you build a secret base you set up a statue in it and that increases the odds of certain Pokemon showing up in the ‘main rooms’. ’Main rooms’ are what the corridors are connected by and in them Pokemon are wandering around Let’s Go style and you can find items as well. That’s the gist of it, but it’s hard to get the most out of it because like a lot of Pokemon games the systems are quite vague and the RNG numbers are secret and hidden. I will probably need to look at a guide online to understand it fully but my general impression right now is it’s a neat idea let down by a lot of hoop jumping and unfavourable RNG like a lot of Pokemon meta games. Lots of do A to get B to get C and hopefully D will happen and knowing Pokemon the odds on it even after all the hoop jumping will be terrible. Maybe, I’ll need to read about it. It doesn’t seem as horrible as Sword and Shield’s Wild Area fuck shit where you have to cycle for energy then trade energy for items then use items to partake in online raids what you can only do once a day and the odds are shit. It’s not that level of offensive. But even off the jump it feels like it could be better. I think what it wants to be is an online, rouge lite, dungeon crawler style thing. Instead of running around in circles mining jewels just to run around in more circles. If it were randomised and mission based at least you could set yourself aims and targets for exploring and the randomised nature wouldn’t make it feel as repetitive as it currently does. I don’t hate it, I need to understand it more. But right now it feels very circular and time wasting. And after 2 hours I didn’t even get anything that special at all. I was hoping the Pokemon down there would have their HA’s but nope
